shall possess the power of Thor!
This movie is fantastic. I'm watching it for the 4th time.
Sir Anthony is spectacular as the "Allfather".
So if you are an actor, is the dream to land a role in one of these movies that are part of a series or a universe? It seems like there are so few one-shot movies. Twilight was 4 books, Marvel and DC stories have limitless possibilities...
And Chris H. is going to have to stay in incredible shape for at least the next 10 or so years. Between at least 2 more Thors and 2 more avengers, and whatever else in the universe he will appear in.

I have Infinity Gauntlet on my desk, to read over the weekend. I am somewhat familiar with Marvel characters, but I had no idea who Thanos was. We actually went to see it in Imax, very early on Saturday morning and it was packed....and $19.50

I just noticed that the archer who is lifted up to shoot Thor when he goes for his hammer is Hawkeye in Avengers!

So THAT'S what "hawkeye" means in Draw Something! I wondered where the heck they were getting that. Also had to google "katniss," you can tell I'm not up on my modern films.

I think if you are an actor, making it to the place where you have regular work and health insurance is the goal for most of them. If you have freedom to choose your roles, I think you need to be careful with the comic franchises because it can make it hard for you to ever play anything else (see: Harry Potter) or they can just recast you if you get tubby (see: Batman).
But what the heck do I know... to me, Thor will always be Vincent D'Onofrio in Adventures in Babysitting.

They're now on the third actor playing Bruce Banner, so it doesn't always work out. Also 3 Batmans in the 80s-90s run of movies.

I thought the movie was amazing!!!
I like this Hulk 10x better than the others
I didn't notice it was Hawkeye in Thor either until I watched Thor again.. Wasn't great but I had not seen it all and I think it makes Avengers make more sense.
9yr old loved it too

Bear in mind I had only previously seen Iron Man (the first one), and have never read a comic book, but The Avengers is a really good movie. Even stand alone. There were a few questions I had and all were pretty much watch Thor/Iron Man 2/Captain America/The Hulk, but that didn't take away from the movie. Now paying for the IMAX ticket and staying up for the midnight release with my friends to sit through an audience that had to yell and clap every time someone came on the screen - that ruined it. I still don't know what Stan Lee said.

I did so for the last Transformers. They yelled and screamed once or twice but that was it. I went with my friends that were nerds and do it way more than me and they had never experienced it that awful either.

I did opening night for Avengers...Yay!
I'm hoping in one of the sequels, Cap picks up Thor's hammer. I think he's one of the "worthy" characters in the Marvel universe.

I thought the whole point of "Thor" was that he had no way back to Earth at the end of the movie. Not that plot consistency is a particularly sacred trait of superhero movies.

If he does get Thor's hammer he should have Leonard buy it for him. He got a great deal on the Game of Thrones sword.

It seems reasonable that they could. But as I remember it, the movie ends with Thor wistfully contemplating how he'll never see his lady friend on Earth again. If they could just build a new bridge in a few months, then big whoop.

My town has one of the few drive ins left in this country and they are playing The Avengers this weekend. Sounds like we need to go.

We went to Avengers yesterday, and it was fantastic! The theater wasn't too full either. Then again, it takes a certain kind of nerd mom to want to spend mother's day watching Avengers in the first place I suppose.

Whoa, which Thor are we talking about? I'm late to this party...but I'd like to say "AWESOME!!!" to this post. I love Stargate SG-1! Probably one of my all time favorites. As to the Avengers movie. I thought it was fantastic. My wife wasn't that interested in going to see it, but she came out of it saying it was awesome. But then again....she's in love with Mark Ruffalo for some reason.

And our biggest surprise was how stinkin' hilarious the Hulk was! I Hulk now.

We went to the $4 theater and saw the Avengers on opening night. Although for some reason it was $5. I really hope it was higher due to opening night and not a 25% price increase. The movie was good and predictable enough that I knew what time it was even though I forgot my watch.
