POM, I'm use to 68 at home in Boston and it's the same here in Florida. Only thing I do is close the French doors to the 4 season Lanai which keeps the main room warmer. The heat is hot air and I find it dry and it cools down fast.
LOL, the guys who own the house live nearby and when I go to their home the heat has to be in the low 80's........ I die. Of course one of the guys walks around bare foot and wears shorts.

And then it just quieted right back down. Oh, and our weather radios went off all day. We had Tornado warnings for our city too so our tornado sirens went off.

We didn't use any more electricity than last year at this time but our bill was somewhat higher since the kilowatt hour rate increased a bit. Fortunately, we live in temperate Los Angeles, so our bill is only about $30/month, and a good portion of that is due to fees and taxes.

I have gas heat so my electricity bill isn't much different from last year and I'm using about the same number of KWhr each month.
Natural gas is about 1/2 of what it was last year at that time. It was really cold here for a while and my gas bill was over $200, highest it has ever been.
