At one time, I thought I was a "Master of the Universe". For my kids, I had purchased MSFT, INTC, CSCO, HD, KO, PFE, AOL, BRCM, QCOM, GE, JDSU, MDT, MCD and several others, also some Mutual Funds. My daughter, born in 1993, was worth 1/2 million at the market peak in 2000/2001.

And then, the dot.com bust. And I really didn't even own any "dot.com" stocks. Portfolio really dived. And it's been a long haul back up. Still own all of them. She's now at about $350K, plenty for college, but, man! I thought at the time she was gonna be worth a couple of mil when she entered as a freshman.

It's not the aroma on the track that's bad, as long as you watch where you step.

You know the non-existent aroma coming from a computer monitor, hooked up to a market contest has not been one of my biggest problems.....however, just getting a reliable signal to the computer has given me more grey hairs than I had. I've totally dis-owned AT&T., and now I'm using Verizon
wireless, and I've lost signal twice even while typing this post. CHEERS.

BHB,... yes, it's AT&T. It all started prior to Xmas. Reason: a new land line; schedule promises not kept; right hand not knowing what the left hand was doing; just frustrating mess-ups on and on. I had to hire a friend (computer Guru) for 4 days. But I was in Verizon's office this afternoon; and they're not perfect either. Actually, I'm considering going back to the beginnings of communications

Archi .... Hope you do not plan to set up a permanent residence down there. I frequently make a strong effort to pick up the bottom rung honors. Would hate to have to forcibly evict you if you find comfort there. Your household belongings would have to be removed and placed outside on the curbing by the authorities... not a good thing.
