Joe Scarborough is going after a fellow MSNBC host, calling out “Countdown” host Keith Olbermann for saying Scott Brown — the Republican Senate nominee in Massachusetts — is “homophobic” and a “racist.” Speaking during his “special comment” Monday night, Olbermann folded nearly all of the negative attacks Democrat have tried to pin to Brown in recent days into one scathing rant. “You have heard Scott Brown speculating, talking out of his bare bottom, about whether or not the President of the United States was born out of wedlock,” Olbermann said of the Republican who is leading in the polls against Democrat Martha Coakley in the race to replace the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.). “You have heard Scott Brown respond to the shout from a supporter that they should stick a curling iron into Ms. Coakley's rectum with the answer, ‘We can do this.’” “You may not have heard Scott Brown support a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, or describing two women having a child as being quote, ‘just not normal,” he continued. “You may not have heard Scott Brown associating himself with the tea party movement, perhaps the saddest collection of people who don't want to admit why they really hate since the racists of the South in the sixties insisted they were really just concerned about states' rights.” Summing up his case against Brown, Olbermann concluded, “in Scott Brown we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, tea bagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees.” Soon after the broadcast, Scarborough, the host of “Morning Joe,” responded on Twitter, calling Olbermann’s attack “sad.” www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0110/Joe_vs_Keith.html?showall

Olbermann vs. Scarborough On 'Homophobic,' 'Racist,' 'Sexist' Scott Brown (VIDEO) Tuesday night, Olbermann apologized for the comment — because he didn't go far enough. "I'm sorry," he said. "I left out the word sexist." Olbermann cited Brown's non-response to a supporter who suggested "[shoving] a curling iron up [Martha Coakley's] butt," a reference to a sexual assault case in Massachusetts, in adding "sexist" to his description of the senator-elect. "And if he or you don't like that characterization, my answer to you is simple: disprove it, because he hasn't," Olbermann said. And instead, he smirked and laughed at the comments. chattahbox.com/us/2010/01/18/scott-brown-smirks-at-coakley-slur-shove-a-curling-iron-up-her-butt/

Olberman gone an good riddence. It is rare when I see someone who in an instant sets off my alarm bells. he was the first in a long time. Something was just not right but cannot put my finger on it.

MSNBC's Olbermann blames Republicans for Tucson shooting Posted Jan 9, 2011 by ¡á Michael Krebs In nine-minute commentary on MSNBC Saturday, Keith Olbermann sought to attribute "death fantasies and dreams of blood lust" to the Tea Party movement and to the Republican Party in general.
Was this the final straw by Olbermann?? Maybe along with a long list of other other rantings and ravings..

Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitmentwww.fas.org/irp/eprint/rightwing.pdf Homeland Security Report Warns Of Rising Right-Wing ExtremismIf you think the conservative "Tea Party" movement is daunting, take a look at a new report issued by the Department of Homeland Security that says right-wing extremism is on the rise throughout the country. In the report (a full copy of which is below), officials warn that right-wing extremists could use the bad state of the U.S. economy and the election of the country's first black president to recruit new members to their cause. www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/14/homeland-security-report_n_186834.html
ThinkProgress notes some key take-aways from the report: Anti-immigration: “Rightwing extremist groups’ frustration over a perceived lack of government action on illegal immigration has the potential to incite individuals or small groups toward violence. If such violence were to occur, it likely would be isolated, small-scale, and directed at specific immigration-related targets.” Recruiting returning vets: “Rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat.” Gun-related violence: “Heightened interest in legislation for tighter firearms...may be invigorating rightwing extremist activity, specifically the white supremacist and militia movements.” thinkprogress.org/2009/04/14/dhs-report-right-wing/

Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and RecruitmentRightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures. www.fas.org/irp/eprint/rightwing.pdf Isn't this why the Dem's lost big in the last election, is it really fair to broad brush Mr. And Mrs. America with the Extremist label. Why aren't you Libs listening it's the Economy Stupid!

Try Al-Jazeera or the Muslim Brotherhood Network. I believe it was you who stated you prefer Mahmoud Ahmedinejad to any Republicans, right?

Interesting interviews , news and ideas from around the world, no not all politics at all.."All things considered" ...how can any one knock that one.

Keith Olbermann, Senator? 'Draft Olbermann' For Senate Movement Launched A movement has begun to draft Keith Olbermann to run for the Senate in Connecticut. The movement was launched by Daily Kos contributor Stranded Wind, who wrote on Saturday that Olbermann--who, after his abrupt departure from MSNBC, has some time on his hands-- is "just old enough, smart enough, polished enough, and has all of the other attributes that would make him a darned good Senator for the state of Connecticut." The movement now has a Twitter and Facebook page. On the Facebook page, the people behind the effort say they are "just a bunch of fans who want to see Keith Olbermann run for Senate- this voice is too important to be silenced." www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/24/keith-olbermann-senator-draft-olbermann_n_813364.html

If these loud lying heads are responsible for all the tensions and potential violence in this country as some claim then we should see an almost immediate drop with Olbermann off the air. He always reminded me off a spoil kid that got mad when he didn't get his way and he seldom had facts to back up his claims, instead he resorted to name calling and ranting about anyone who opposed a democrat. The question now is will Maddow stay or move to the center because there does not appear to be a big audience for their positions right now.

Quick Poll Will Keith Olbermann run for Senate?
Definitely! 57.23%
Are you crazy?! 42.77%
Why not the senate has Al Franken, from Minnesota whose claim to fame was being a left wing loon and entertainer.

Maddow may be thinking of throwing her hat in the ring and challenging Olbermann if he runs for a senate seat....Afteral she has a large following by GLAD, ACTUP, Code Pink and the loony left wing progressives and socialist members of the Democratic Party. Plus she may be on thin ice on MSNBC because they are trying to clean up their act and rid themselves of bomb throwers and hate mongers

Given the ratings of MSNBC, I'd say the vote for either one of these anal orifices for Senate would be in the range of 3%. That's my estimation of the hopeless nutter liberal population in the US.
