Short HOLX (Hologic Inc - Medical Appliances and Equipment)

I used a technical scan looking for hanging man candlesticks. I also looked for a high price to sales >2 with low revenue growth MRQ over previous year < 10%. It looks like the current rally may be overextended so I was looking for a short position. I have no position in this stock and have no intentions of entering a position at this time.

The current PEG is 3.58. The p/s is 3.08. The long term growth forecast is 9.47%.

The consensus among the talking heads is that we are starting a market correction. I'm not sure I agree but I'll assume the volatility will will increase as the bulls and bears go to war. Basically just a shot in the dark.

Things just did not look good given the circumstances. Your comment about an indication of a possible market correction became something to give some thought. A minor correction certainly may be due. Please note I added a comment as to why 6 minutes later.

Rovo, please read my post no. 9. I've been having computer signal problems; and I picked OMX just
to have a selection; but early this morning, I had my wireless signal for about 1.5 hours .....so was
able to change my pick to "N" ( and it was before the market opened.).....I've been in a battle with
AT&T since before Xmas; .... I'm now using a wireless connection with Verizon...& fortunately, to get me thru this turmoil, I have a good friend that once owned an internet service. I've had him for 4 different days during all this transition. Otherwise, I'd still be doing nothing but playing soletaire.

ModE, It is better to just add a new post and not change the old post. I start at the beginning of the thread and just record what I see. If a later post is added then I just over-write the old with the new selection. Either way it is no big deal as long as someone alerts me to my mistakes. I was on-line earlier today than I usually am so I went ahead and recorded the selections early. Peace.

I am going to wait (if I can remember to) and enter my selections within 5 minutes of Monday opens. I get to read "Wall Street Breakfast" from SA, and the pre-market indicators from Scottrade Elite, after I get up around 8:30 a.m. And hope I do not roll over and fall asleep again.... (gettin' old, man, gettin' old).... zzzzzzzz.

Want to get off to a decent start, but who knows what evil lurks behind the creaking door after the first 20 yards? Well, The Shadow knows, of course, but he's not talking. May have a heavy rain during the week, and then one's horse had better be a good mudder. All good plans of mice and men are often for naught.
