Just found this gem... after a week of different things showing up here...I think one was along the lines of the POTUS stinks..or something similer , found one waiting for me that I just know a few will be singing "yeah yeah ahyeay yeah" ;D -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "President Obama's approval rating surges at midpoint of term Several polls note a rise in public approval for Obama. The bump comes after his Tucson shooting speech and a productive lame-duck congressional session.
1:22 p.m. EST, January 20, 2011 E-mail Print Share Text Size la-pn-obama-midterm-20110121 Reporting from Washington — President Obama is enjoying a surge in public approval as he marks the midpoint of his first term, an uptick that follows a productive lame-duck congressional session and his well-received speech on the shooting tragedy in Tucson.
The same polling shows that although new Speaker of the House John Boehner is getting favorable reviews early on, Americans don't expect that much from the new Congress.
A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey released Wednesday night showed Obama's job-approval rating at 53%, an eight-point jump from mid-December and his highest rating since July 2009. Surveys from CNN/Opinion Research and ABC News/Washington Post also put Obama's approval rating above the 50% threshold.

An aggregation of polling data by Real Clear Politics shows Obama with a net approval rating of 5%, a jump of 8% from mid-December and at the highest level since January 2010.
Obama also may be benefiting from an improved political climate after a hyper-partisan midterm campaign in which he was an active participant.
"The last six weeks have been the best six weeks the president has had in his first two years in office," NBC/WSJ co-pollster Peter Hart told the network.
Americans are still pessimistic about the course of the nation, but less so than recent months. According to the NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, 35% say the nation is headed in the right direction, while 56% say it's on the wrong track. It's the best finding on that question since October 2009.
Thursday is the second anniversary of Obama's inauguration, the halfway mark of a four-year term. He was elected with the biggest majority in two decades in 2008, but one year later, his political fortunes began to decline. The first anniversary of his inauguration a year ago was marked by fallout from the upset victory of Republican candidate Scott Brown in the race to fill what had been Ted Kennedy's U.S. Senate seat. He rebounded to push through a historic health-reform bill nearly two months later, but his party suffered defeat in congressional elections in November.
Just weeks into that new Congress, where Republicans hold a majority in the House but still sit in the minority in the Senate, Obama scores better than Republicans on key issues tested by ABC and the Washington Post.
Respondents trust the president over Republicans by five points on the economy, three points on the budget deficit, six points on the threat of terrorism, two points on taxes and 14 points on helping the middle class. But they are equally divided on who would better handle healthcare, with 42% choosing each and 10% saying they trust neither.
The NBC poll found a majority of respondents thought Obama was likely to work well with the Republican Congress, but just as many thought Republicans would be too inflexible in dealing with him.
As the White House gears up for a likely reelection campaign — announcing Thursday that it would base the effort again in Chicago — advisers may be taking heart in positive numbers from Ohio, where Democratic losses were especially severe in November.
Despite — critics might charge because of — multiple visits from Obama, Vice President Biden and other top Democrats, Republicans won the governorship, U.S. Senate seat and five congressional seats. But a Quinnipiac poll of Buckeye State voters released Thursday morning showed the president's approval rating back in positive territory. By a 44%-39% margin, voters also said they would choose Obama over an unnamed Republican in a hypothetical 2012 matchup for the bellwether state's 18 electoral votes

Until the last quarter of his 4 year term polls mean nothing. People have short memories. It is what today is like that they make their choices on. Simple, economy up his chances are good, economy down he is toast. It will all be about the economy.

It will all be about the economy.
That is why there will be no winners. The economy is ruined and other nations (China, India, Korea) are getting used to that. It has brought great wealth to these nations and turning back the clock will seem provocative to them. I say screw them. Do the things necessary to bring manufacturing jobs back to the United States and let them recoil back to their deserved third world status. This rightful policy will only happen with a complete removal of all sitting politicians. How this is accomplished is up to your imagination.

Hello Mr. dezilooooooo. I have outlined countless times how this can be achieved. Apparently many agree with me. Look at the numbers. Forget about your senseless idiocy. It is my way or the (real) hard way. Both will be tough but the status quo (inflation) will be the toughest.

Just noticed , 330 posts and 157 karmas..impressive. Reminds me of a guy from just before I deployed from basic to AIT. He was from Kentucky, some small town in West Virginia, his name was Whorley, LOL, can't believe I remember it, and he got a pass to go home a week I think. MP's picked him up at the Bus station on Post. Info hit the barracks we were in transit in. He had all these ribbons as if he was Sgt York, the man Audy Murphy, the branch scarf and who knows what else, hadn't advanced beyond Pvt.. he hadn't gone to AIT yet...LOL Going home to impress the folks, girl friend. Guess he went to the PX and got the the goo gahs..never saw him again.. Not saying anything , just reminded me of it.

Probably stockade and then out though at the time, boots on the ground needed...probably went through another class and shipped over..god help who got him. True Worley story...he was in my training basic platoon , we were almost finished with training and the company were going out to the obstacle course as end of training event, Climb logs, swing on ropes , like a finish, and i had he worse case of poison Ivy picked up early in the week so had light duty for a few days as our platoon orderly. Made sure barracks all spic span and the old man and the 1st Sgt came in doing their walk through. I reported, walked with them and made any notes to let trooper know if anything wrong as the 1st was doing to let the platoon Sgt know..we had about six extra lockers in the back on the second floor, we were using old WW2 barracks, wooden, think all gone now, in a Co area. As passing the empty lockers were we heard a noise like snoring. Old Man looks at the 1st, 1st looks at me, I looked dumb, shrugged, 1st opens one locker, nothing, opens another, , Yep there was Worley fast asleep. Old man shakes his head, 1st gives me this funny look, no one says anything, they close the locker door...walk out shaking their heads. He was still asleep.... He had goofed off , that was Worley...{ Yes he was reported..1st did ask me for his name..still shaking his head...but we were short by then so not much by the platoon Sgt.} as I said, if they shipped him, God help who ever got him. as a second thought, he wasn't the brightest..hope he made it, had a good life. Long time ago, things one remembers, actually one of the better ones.
