Santorium has won Colorado, mizzu and Minnesota with Paul coming in second in one and Romney third. talk about throwing a monkey wrench into who will finish first at the convention.

This is great. As the economy continues to recover, the GOP continues to look for anyone but Romney. IMO, Santorium has less of a chance of winning the general election than Paul does and only slightly more than the Grinch. After his speech during the super bowl half time, pubs would have more of a chance winning the white house if they started a write in campaign for Clint Eastwood.

Romney was +10% in the last few days, and even with all the swing vote, it is going to be really hard for Santorum to close that.

Good thing you did not try to create three different threads! What shall we discuss? Colorado? Missouri? Minnesota? Even Ron Paul scored high in one of the states. I will leave it to someone else to figure out which one it was. Gingrich polled badly all around.

Ron Paul finished a very strong second in MN- 27% or 28% of the vote- Romney came in THIRD!

Republicans in Colorado totaled all of something like 34,000 votes between Santorum and Romney. For the entire state. I am beginning to think there should be three election primary dates. East coast election. Appalachians to the Rockies election. West coast election. One could be in January, another in March, and the last one first week of May. This gives all candidates the chance to cover neighboring states, and concentrate their efforts and money in a single geographical area. That way these states without any population do not "smoke" an early candidate, and knock them out of the race after two state elections. I like Iowa and Newhampshire, but, why do small states get to dictate the ourcome? It also allows the winning candidate to mend some of the political fences that were trampled, before the November election.

Santorums speech wasn't very good last night. He stumbled through it and didn't look very comfortable.
Can a guy that wears a sweater vest win the Presidency? lol.
Still looks like a Romney win. Santorum and Newt have no more money.

I would not have pedicted this. Frothy mix wins! I think it is rather disgusting for anyone to use the reference when the person who was targeted by a group of hateful people asked that it be removed numerous times and blatantly told No. Creating a new word meaning to be as disgusting as possible simply because you do not like the stance of a politician should not be okay, yet it is as long as the one having it done to them is a right leaning individual.

Sure CME, whatever you say, did Santorum offer an apology along with his request for comparing homosexuals to bestaility?

A LOT of people believe homosexuality is a sin or at very least an aberration. Those people do not see it as a human rights issue. No level of force and coercion is going to change people's minds either way. That's why libertarianism ultimately works best: live and let live.

Sure CME, whatever you say, did Santorum offer an apology along with his request for comparing homosexuals to bestaility? 1. Why should one ever need to apologize for having an opinion that is not mainstream? 2. The original interview was not what was reported by AP nor by Laura Lakes Jordan. This was from the Wiki. Following is from the Actual AP interview from 2003. No where has he compared Homosexuality to Bestiality. He actually says that it's not like that. The Interviewer is the one who wanted it to be a comparison. www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2003-04-23-santorum-excerpt_x.htm

Imagine the outrage if we came up with a similar meaning for the word Obama. The liberals would be frothing themselves reaching for their race card.

From my reply #6 on, every post has proven why Santorum will have major problems, long before ever getting near a general election. Yes, I know that the definition was made up, I never said it wasn't nor did I say it was fair to Santorum. I don't think it's any more unfair than treatment gays have received from the religious right. For Santorum as a politician, he lost my vote with his declaration that "they [gays] undermine the basic tenets of our society and the family". Anyone who believes the basic tenants of our society revolve around one's sexual preference, IMO, is not fit to hold office. Creating a strong society goes way beyond sex and having children, it is more focused on creating a loving environment for those children to grow, learn and eventually become members of adult society. I know gay parents who are raising wonderfully stable children, I know straight parents who have dragged their kids through horrific divorces leaving the kids feeling like used pawns. The president of the US has to be president to all Americans not just the ones who don't mess with his phobias.

Zip,
I don't like nor agree with Santorum. What I can't stand is the blatant attempts of some to run with false information as if it was truth when the truth is factual.
The google thing is disturbing on many levels, for me personally.

Let's stick with the couple dozen primary dates, but do a random drawing each election season to see which state get's which date. That would be awesome! Can you imagine California and New York taking Iowa and New Hampshire's place? Some candidate gets to grab a ton of delegates right on the first day, and all the fly-over states get ignored in the early election season.
