I started working out last month and I've been sticking with it, surprisingly. I also use an app to track my diet and workout routine. So far I've lost 5 pound; i set my goal at losing 20 pounds, but i really just want to be comfortable in my skin, scale be damned!
Right now Im rotating pilates and elliptical training. Once the weather gets nicer i want to start bike riding with bf and play soccer together. Running sucks, but i can do it if Im chasing a ball. My company is going to start kickboxing classes soon. I know i need to start weight training, but at least Im doing something!

IRL - start a 6-week WHBBE The Hard-Body Workout. I already miss those Bikini moves so I will mix that w.o. circuit in.

Kettlebells class yesterday. I don't have the intensity but I'm there. I also did the abs routine after. Then I thought I was going to have to save the trainer. She is a cutey and those guys were circling and swarming her. On another day, she said one guy that "hit" on her did a foot sweep and knocked her down while she was carrying 20 lb. k.b.
I declined the guys invite to head to the weight room even though each one of them had bumped into me. I also didn't make the 5:00 p.m. Zumba class.
ETA - never mind TMI

I take it for the cardio because that is my weakness. I will dance, though. Wiggle, wiggle wiggle ya, I work out. The class I took today was at a college so a higher intensity. I did weights before and after as did several other peeps. Tomorrow I am back at Afit for the next 12 days to sign in so I can get my cash! ;D My goal is compact muscle tone. I don't need mass. I need maintenance. Did ya like the new nic I gave you, chew toy? ETA - OMG I need some rubbing alcohol on my soreness.

So the tri pull down is underhand grip?
Sorry you don't have a partner. Can your SO help out?
Maybe you could invent a machine that would do the negatives. I can see it. A Smith with a foot activated lifter and release that allows the weight to be lowered.

Three changed. 1 Tri pull down 2 Lunges changed with rear leg raised. 3 flies changed. now doing more open flies but less weight. Since I dont WO with a partner I can't do negatives which, I think build Muscle faster. I noticed you said you were too tired to take a class. What I did was my "musts" or about half before my class and the "polish" after.

How do you do the tri pull down? (Too lazy to look for a video.) For me, I have to gauge the "after tired". Someone recommended doing the very slow lifting one day then rest for a week. That might work when I am scheduled for a vaca but I have to remember to try it. I did see one of the trainers doing this routine. The other guys were looking at him like he was daft. Granny knew. Since I go to the gym for 12 straight days, I have split some routines. On tired days I do abs, ball, foam roller, and stretching.

I use to do P90X . . . a great workout system . . . .but I've been banned from it by the doc until they figure out what is causing my iron deficiency. They don't want me to pass out.

Ouch, beags. That hurts to not get to do your favorite workout. Best wishes. I'm going to start it back up on Monday, despite the doctors wishes . . . . . I really miss that program .. I lost body mass fast and built some muscle . . . I never use the scale . .. I just know I had to buy new clothes 2x now. I'd like to keep it that way and not have to buy more new ones because I gained weight. I'm just in maintain stage .. . not sure if I can lose any more weight without looking bad. You know too skinny, like skin on bones?

MU - I'm sure you are one of those smooth, never miss a beat on the jump rope guys. I pretend to jump rope. I don't want to do the horrible miss and have to start again. Untangle the feet. Look in the mirror to see who saw. Just pretend. It's the jumping and twirl that counts.
Beags - just go easy. Like one set and see how that works over the 24 hours.

Okay. Maybe tomorrow I will try to skip a real rope.
Update:
I did not jump rope today. Too many peeps in that area. I did notice in an exercise routine in a magazine where someone else uses a "phantom" jump rope. I wonder if it weighs more than my pretend one. I'm sure it's not a prettier color than miine.

I jumped the real rope and won . Next time I'll do a little more. ETA: I just realized I have post traumatic workout. I saw these tennis shoes way over the top of the bar over the cable units. The guy was doing hanging leg lifts to head down position. What a show off. Glad he works out at MY gym. "Girl look at that body. I work out."

Surpirse, our golf courses are open. The course I play is hilly so that will be my cardio. I need to get motivated and then comes balancing golf and the weight training. And I skipped the cardio machines most of the winter.
