I don't post my age, but if asked, I do not lie about it, either. I have no reason to do so. I looked danged good, considering, and if someone thinks otherwise, well, poop on them. So there.

I've never lied about my age. I can't stop the years so I might as well be proud of the gray hair and wrinkles. I've earned them.
When my daughter turned 30 she couldn't say 'thirty' for about 3 years and I spent all that time laughing at her. She will be 50 later this year and I wonder what she will do then when I tell her she is a half century old.
Grand-daughter didn't appreciate it when I told her she was a quarter century old.

Do you remind her how freaked out she was at turning 30? She'd likely give her eye teeth to be turning 'only' 30 now.

I never lie about my age either. I am typically guessed at being 7 - 10 years younger, so I feel good saying it when I do. At this point, I don't see any advantage lying about it anyway. Ah, to be 30 again...

I'm not a lady, but I used to lie about my age all the time. Then I turned 21 and didn't need to anymore

You get a karma for that one, J! I don't lie about my age. But like green eyed chicka said, I also look younger than I am so I am proud to say I'm 40.

Yeah. My favorite was in college there was a 21 and over pool hall I went to with friends. Pretty much the same doorman every time we went. I never got carded. Then, on my 21st birthday, we went. He was there, and told us that the new policy was that EVERYONE had to be carded. So I handed him my ID. He looked at it, said Happy Birthday, and then did a double take. He's like, wait a second -- you've been coming here for years -- and TODAY is your 21st birthday??
My friend and I were laughing so hard at the look on his face, I almost started to cry.
My back was cramping up under your desk.....

I don't but I have a friend who used to. She is 12 years older than I am, for years I thought she was 9 years older than I was - because that's the age she had told me. Then one day, not realizing it was a deep dark secret her husband mentioned her true age. She looked thorougly embarassed! but I never mentioned it and neither did she, but from then on anytime the subject of age came up she went with her real age.

When I went to college, my sister gave me her driver's license and told me I was going to need it. Unfortunately, while I look an awful lot like her, she's 7 years older than me, so I was a 25 year old freshman. The license worked spectacularly, though!

I don't lie, I don't care how old I am, it's much better than NOT getting older. Now I may get vain and dye my hair when I get more gray hair but I'll still tell my actual age. I have a baby face anyway.

I've never felt the need to lie about my age, but then I'm still fairly young. Over 29 though--I'm 32. It's one of those odd ages where I feel younger than most people in some situations, but older in other situations. I guess to me, refusing to admit my age is kind of like refusing to admit who I am, like I'm ashamed of my life. Sure I'm not where I wanted to be at this point in my life, but life isn't all about what we want. Besides, I've always looked a few years older than I am, so trying to pretend I'm younger probably wouldn't work anyway. Might as well embrace reality, like it or not.
