I have had a couple instances of this over the past month. Just today I went to the freezer to defrost some strawberries for my breakfast, completely forgetting I had blackberries in the fridge.
Sun I misplaced my keys while at CVS. I (nearly) always put my keys in a particular pocket of my jacket but had dropped it on the bag in my cart and covered them w/the ad and the coupon section I planned on using.
Two weeks ago I accidentally bought vanilla yogurt. I ALWAYS buy plain since I not only eat it with fruit (where vanilla is fine) but also use it as a sour cream substitute in recipes and on potatoes. NOT good.

Okay, I give up...what does CRS stand for? I'm guessing something about memory or something? I might have an early onset version of this then...

Gotcha. I diagnosed my mom with this when I was in high school and I found a carton of her cigarettes in the freezer. I asked her how it felt to be losing her mind, and she said she put them there so they would stay "fresh" longer, but I never saw them in the freezer again.

It's something that I've found all my older siblings starting to really suffer from. I looked after our mum, I ain't looking after 7 siblings.

You know posting crap like this just serves to remind others that they are defective too. Argh - And I was having such a good day before you reminded me that my brain is ageing into CRS.

Glad to know that there's a bunch of us suffering from CRS!! Over the weekend, I did that several times, walked into a room to get something and promptly forgot why I was there. Figured it out though when nothing was defrosted for dinner!!! ;D

Part timers!!!
Forgot about that one. It used to happen all the time to me when I still worked. I would leave my desk, start walking to another area of the building, someone would stom me to ask a question and in the 2 minutes I TOTALLY forgot where I was going and for what.

GRRRR!!! I just did it AGAIN.
I had planned to cook up a beans & rice dish today BUT I totally forgot to soak my beans last night. Now I have the choice of figguring out something else for dinner tonight or using MUCH more expensive canned beans.

I have to stand in the doorway of a room and try to remember why I went their. Sometimes I turn back around to try again later.

regina, people actually do keep cigs in the freezer to keep them fresh! I don't know if it really works but my college roommates used to buy by the carton and store in the freezer.

But now we can all be defective together and make fun of the "normal" people nor·mal adjective 1. conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural. 2. serving to establish a standard. No we can't: since we are all suffering from CRS, that is the new normal and everyone else is just plain weird.

CRS- I was told that I was having a brain fart. Going back to where I started is a good way for me to remember what it was I was looking for.

B12!
Everything was thingamies,or whatchamacallits now they have names.
Not just any B12, tried the sublingual (supposedly best place to put it) Zip, Zero, Nada Got the Gummy version - tastes ok, and I remember stuff now!
Not sure who makes them, but they actually work, and I don't have to stop midsentance to remember what I was talking about anymore...
