Last year we received a small increase, roughly 1.75%. Not sure what is in store for this year.

My teacher friends have had to take pay cuts and pay more for their health insurance.

Archie, I am bit surprised. I haven't worked in 2.5 yrs and still am getting phone calls about possible job opportunities, so I keep thinking that it's not that hard to find a decent job in accounting. If I remember correctly, you are a controller and didn't even like your job that much, how come you are not looking for something else?

Well my pension has always been fixed, and there's been no SS increase this year (or last year).

I actually can't complain. I get paid well, have gotten a nice bonus each year and a healthy contribution to our retirement stock account.
BUT no raise!

No raises for me for 3 years either. I did get a small bonus last summer though.

We've gotten raises the last 3 years (mine was my best ever last year, except for when I switched jobs), and I'm getting one again this year (it's early, but I'm moving offices, so the raise goes with the move). That said, I do know some people received very limited raises the last couple of years, so maybe they factored in how much they couldn't afford to lose some people.

Got a small raise last year, but wages were frozen the year before. DH's company has had wages frozen for several years (ugh)! Now I just noticed today that gasoline is going up in our neighborhood again!

I'm a Fed, so in my first of 2 years of freezes.
Originally, I was fine with it IF and only IF that money taken out of MY pocket went towards reducing the deficit. Since our "leaders" decided to spend it 10 times over, I'm not so happy anymore.
I'll still get my merit based step increase in a few months, but enough is never enough when money is concerned.

In March will be year 4 here, no raise - not even a review.

Year 2 of no raises and no "step" raises.
Our contact expires 12/31/11 and if history is anything to go by, it won't be settled until sometime in 2013.

2009 - no raises 2010 - 3% 2011 - I think there will be raises but the standard 3% again.

I actually got a 10% raise this month. But I do the job now that used to be done by 3 people and I am still paid less than all but one of the 3. My DH's company has frozen wages for the 2nd year in a row.

Second year. It blows because my boss has enough in grants/contracts to raise my salary but the freeze is university wide so I don't get one (which I understand why, it just blows). However I have pretty good job security compared to everyone else I know so I'll take the no raises for now.

Everyone in the company, unless on some sort of "retraining" program, got a 3% raise for 2011. Everyone also got a $1,000 "appreciation" bonus. We didn't get a raise or bonus for 2010. The Board is hoping that come 2012 they'll be able to offer the standard 4.5% raise to those that merit the increase.

2009 - 16.67% 2010 - 8.5% 2011 - 3%
Raise in 2009 was in large part due to me getting certified in 2008. 2010 had to do quite a bit with getting my salary in line with those in the industry given title, experience, etc. 2011 was a company wide raise that was the result of things our company expects to face this year.

I got a small raise this year but it was less than a third of the prior pay cut.

I got my step increase, and next year I'll get my last one. We're currently without a contract, so no raises for 2009, 2010 or 2011. However, there will likely be some sort of retro raises whenever the next contract is actually hashed out.

2008 - 20% part grade promotion, part cost of living/merit raise 2009 - 3% merit raise 2010 - 3% merit raise (but higher up grades got 0%), so I wasn't complaining 2011 - ? ? ? Hoping for another grade promotion. Will find out around April.

In the last 14 months I have gotten 70% raises due to promotions. And I think I get the 3% this spring.

Unless we have a stellar year, I won't be getting one.

2008 - 12% and a small bonus 2009 - 32% and a small bonus (promotion), and a fixed $7k "raise" during the buyout to cover the loss of employer shared health insurance with the new company 2010 - 3% and a small bonus 2011 - I'll find out in June

We're just finalizing 2011 raises up, I'll get a 5% after none the last two years but when I started two years ago, I got a 10% above what I had been making. Got a 10% bonus as well which was solid for 2010. The nice thing is when you have a higher salary, those small percentage increases actually add up to something.

Zero in 2008; 2007 was a very bad year due to massive losses associated with subprime lending in another division. 2% in 2009 but only because I changed jobs within the company. Zero in 2010. We had a much better year in 2010 but really saved up to pay off a big loan a bit early. Company is also trying to make more of the compensation variable, which gives them a good excuse for making annual increases zero. Bonuses have been pretty much level in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
I'm expecting 2011 to be more of the same even though they've increased insurance co-payments significantly and dinged us with little stuff like having to pay $40/month for the Fitness Center and charging admission to the Christmas party in 2010.

I haven't had a raise since August 2008. I don't expect to get a review or a raise this year either, but I do get an occasionally "discretionary" bonus. The last one was $1500 in December. However, I am taking on a lot more work and it is really not worth the occasional bonus to do the extra work. I really think I am lucky though because I have an awesome job I just have to figure out how to deal with the additional responsibility.

My wonderful DH is active duty military and received a 1.4% increase in his base pay. He also saw a $165 per month increase in his BAH rates.

I got a little in the fall of 2008 nothing since and I may never get another. I don't care anymore, I am not career building I am getting ready to retire so a raise times all my years left doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
