Your own consciences will convict you if you abuse our beautiful common language. However, I am not a "grammar monster" as some suggest. My approach to bringing the board back on track relies on positive reinforcement and community pressure rather than the strong-arm tactics you've so readily imputed to me. I will be awarding karma liberally to posters that use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation in sentences of non-trivial construction. I will also be keeping a record of the worst offenders over this week and the next, to be posted in this thread sometime in the new year. As a community, we will then stage an intervention for our grammatically-challenged brothers and sisters, inviting them back into our fold with heartfelt pleas for change. As for the various leopard print photoshop jobs: I draw encouragement from them. Mocking me by association to the vile uncia lets me know that I've stirred up a seed of doubt within you. Could Virgil be right? What if snow leopards truly are genocidal monsters? Why is it that I can find nothing about them other than cutesie-poo photos, or leopard print knickknacks, or minute-long videos of sedated cubs? It's uncanny. Is there truly a conspiracy to hide what they really are?I see the questions stirring in your minds and it gives me strength. You haven't yet realized it, but I'm getting through to some of you. The spots are being lifted from your eyes. Are your knickers so badly twisted that you keep falling on your face ?

Unlike most of you, I happened to like Deb's contributions. She had a childlike innocence about her.
EEers joke about being loopy, erratic, free-spirited, devil-may-care, mischievous. I'd go so far as to say that many of you take pride in this persona. EEers declare in no uncertain terms that chastity, temperance, maturity are not a part of the EE counterculture.
Yet Deb, whose presence was defined by her freewheeling antics, whimsical fonts, passive disdain for order and authority, and moth-like fluttering about any flame of activity on the board, seems to be universally disliked. Her descent into pariah status ultimately stemmed from a deficit of the very qualities pooh-poohed by the "wacky EEers"—chastity, temperance, maturity, etc., etc.
A most curious and vexing cultural phenomenon. Was Deb "too much" of an EEer to fit into EE?

Virgil, Virgil ! How quickly you forget. After you encouraged her to be "creative" with her cartoons, you soon wished you could undo what you wrought. I think that was just one of the many things that led to her untimely demise.

Those will make nice bath mats. I do like that your bathroom matches your well-appointed bedroom. Not that I'd know.

I'm glad you like them. But since they're uncia cubs rather than full grown adults, I've decided to use them as toilet paper instead. Nothing quite beats the feeling of wiping your fanny clean on freshly-poached snow leopard cub pelts, wouldn't you agree, Lassie? And the spots hide the mess!

SL, you cannot let Virgi get away with trashing your most excellent posts featuring those gorgeous blue eyed darling kitties! Viril: Unlike most of you, I happened to like Deb's contributions. She had a childlike innocence about her.Say what? You forget you haven't been around long enough to know the past long, long, long history of doctor Deb. Thank you lucky stars, Mr Virgil. She was a moderators nightmare.

Some people say you can reuse toilet pelts, but I say phooey to that. One cub pelt is the perfect size to get the job done. Just wipe and toss is my philosophy. Put that hideous yet quilty soft uncia fur to the only good use it will have in its brief existence. Then just flush and forget. Easy peasy. You can keep your bathrooms well supplied with 10-15 pelts a week. And with today's rock bottom prices for leopard poaching, the cost is only slightly higher than keeping your john stocked with Charmin or other "comfort" brands.

It's the holiday season. I'm working long hours every day. I don't have time to read 12 pages of a grammar thread. I love grammar threads. ;D Of course, it probably derailed back on page one. Back to the OP to/too/two check.

I don't think it derailed until a few posts back, Malarky.
Cr*p! I had to come back and edit a spelling error.
