OMG - She did it!!! Keira pooped on the potty - voluntarily and everything! She was down for happy nappy and came out and said she needed to poop. Which is usually a stall tactic. So we went in the bathroom and she sat in the potty and pooped!!!!! I was so surprised because we've been though this and it's NEVER come to this. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
There must be server issues because I was going to put a row of dancing bananas in here.

Now, if you can get her to do it every time. I know. DH has the kids today, barring a doctor appt. in the morning, so I'm hoping for a repeat at nap time. He's not expecting anything.

Thank you all for the dancing bananas. Keira LOVES them and since this thread was about her, I was going to stick them in. Arch, I have no idea how this came about. She's been peeing in the potty/toilet (her choice) since Thanksgiving 2010 or so. We shifted her to undies at naptime Thanksgiving 2011. We've tried logic, bribes, crying (her and me), frustration/yelling, impatience, gifts, praise, and reminders about how everyone poops. Lately, we've dug out the Potty book by Leslie Patricelli to read to DS. That's the book that helped her with peeing and shes' been around when we read it to DS.

I gave ZBear a "potty timer" and a sticker chart. But she was fascinated with the bling on the stickers. One sticker for #1 and 2 stickers for #2. I made her "go try" every X minutes. Her pediatrician loved the idea. I adjusted the time based on if she had gone, how old she was, etc.

We used fruit snacks and M&Ms for peeing. When she didn't poop, we figured it would come in a few months. Except it didn't. So we moved it up a notch, then another; then stopped pushing for it; started again. Please God, this will stick.

SHE DID IT AGAIN LAST NIGHT. Then about 15 minutes later pooped in her pullup. We reminded her that if she'd pooped in the potty again instead of her pullup, she'd have gotten 2 things from the "poop in the potty" bag o goodies instead of the princess pens pack.

Beth= There is a Dinosaur Train episode called Everybody Poops. My DS loves it, but of course he is a boy and poop is fun! I swear he watched it everyday for 3 weeks and laughed hysterically during it. Hope the trend continues!

dakota - there's a Lift the Flap book called "Everybody Poops" too. My kids love it. I've got Dinosaur Train set to DVR but the kids don't seem very interested in it. They're big on Little Einsteins and Curious George right now. And Cyberchase. And new episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse/Minnie's Bow Tunes/Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I can't stand Jake and the Neverland Pirates. UGGGGHHHHH.

I wouldn't feel bad about her going in the potty and then her pull up- my brother is 33 and still misses the potty....
