Mine were from a company called Chantelle, but hey, they fit like a glove, so I'm not gonna complain, even though I spent too much. Just under $80 apiece.

I got a new apt!!! A much nicer, newer apt, almost twice as big ( still 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom, but going from 464 sq ft to about 750 sq ft), in a nicer part of town. But a part I am familiar with, so that's good. My old place was built for the Olympic games, to house referees and judges, during the games. I moved in right after the 2002 Olympics. The new apts have an elevator and a parking garage. It is in a secure bldg. 😁 The new Apts were built in 2014, although I will live in a new addition. I don't know when the addition was completed, it looks fairly new. There is a swimming pool and what looks like a nice gym, as well as a BBQ area. I'll have a private balcony and storage area (small, I think). Washer and dryer units come with/in the apt. Because I require "special accomidations", they will install a grab bar for me, free and will give me assigned parking in the parking structure, around the corner (I've heard) from my apt. People still will have to go through my bedroom, to get to my bathroom (what I have now is like this. I wish it wasn't, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, to get this place.) It also has a microwave. I wish I would have looked to see the size and wattage of it. Anyway, lots of positives and no negatives so far. We stopped by my old place and gave notice of intent to vacate. I didn't go in and talk to them. DD2 and her DH took care of that for me. I'll technically live in a city on the outskirts of the city I'm currently in, but people call it them the same city, quite often. I will live a few minutes closer to both daughters, but just a few minutes. It may feel like I'm a lot closer, once I drive there regularly. If I ever have to take the "Trax" train, the walk is much further, to the station. I don't know how the bus is. I take possession in one week/next Thursday and need to be out of my old place, by the end of the month. It will be more per month for rent, during the first year. Then I can hopefully move to another apt there, at a discounted rate. I'm in a whirlwind! Thanks for your kindness and support ❤ I'm so happy! My old place asked if I would consider staying, or moving to one of their other locations. We said no, but it feels good to be asked.😁

Thanks. I don't want to have another one either, although they made it sound as if I'll need to get the last procedure done again, in a few months. Not sure if that means another heart attack, or if they'll be able to detect an issue with my beats being out of whack. This was my 3rd heart attack. Each one being more intense than the one before. They're definitely not fun. I've been wondering, asking my PCP, if it would be good to move from the 3rd floor, or if the stairs were good exercise for my heart? I was under the impression that they were good. But I think now, my heart is becoming worn out. The cardiologists have suggested it would be better if I don't. Maybe so my different body parts wear out about the same time? I D K. Thank you. What was your last procedure, if you are willing to share? Sometimes you have to work within the limitations of the heart, kidneys, or whatever is healing. If you can get somewhere with a first floor or an elevator, that might improve your health. You can always PM PMD and ask some advice too. My very last procedure was an ablation, on both sides of my heart. They cauterized both sides of my heart, to interrupt the signal being sent out. I had developed Aflutter in addition the Afib I already had. (Both sides of my heart were out of synch) So both sides all 4 chambers needed to be treated, to some degree, I was told. They entered through my groin area (both right and left) then went to my heart and did the procedure. They told me it will probably last 2-3 months, before I need it done again. But could be better and could be worse. They don't know, for sure. I think that's what you're asking about. If not, let me know. 😊

I am so happy for you. That is almost double the size of where you are now and you get ADA compliance, which you do need now.
The last apartment I lived in before I moved here was where people had to go through my bedroom, but I didn't have that many people over.
The storage on the balcony is usually pretty small, but where it gets cold, it limits what you can put there anyway.
Things are definitely on the upside.

I don't have to lug heavy bags dow 3 flights of stairs and across the snowy parking lot, to the dumpster. I've never had one of those before. I currently have an outside storage closet on my balcony, but since I don't use my balcony, I don't know what's even in it. It's all going to the dumps. Not everything I own, but a good portion, so it doesn't have to be moved and put away. (I learned this from DD2!) Her husband said he will buy me new furniture! They have very good taste. I have never picked out, or bought new furniture before.

DN1 has the garbage chutes. That was the only good thing about changing diapers. They went immediately to the garbage chute.

My emergency contact's brother got a divorce after he had a heart attack that might have killed him had he not been in a public place. I think he was hanging onto the marriage for his child's sake and realized that was not a good idea for him personally. I don't know how many years it has been since, but I think doing that helped save his life and heart for the future. I do hope getting rid of the baggage of that apartment and your neighbors will make you lighter and happier. And that should relieve some of the strain on your heart, or so I hope.

My Mom had an ablation done on her heart twice. The first time there was great improvement and after the second one she hasn't had issues with the afib. The doctor told her that it isn't uncommon for them to need to do it twice. I'm not sure that she didn't have it done one side the one time and the other side the next time, but not sure about that. She hadn't had a heart attack but they were very concerned about a stroke. It took some time but she is now off of all blood thinners etc.

And just what they told me should likely happen for me. I guess, they were SUPER concerned about a stroke for me. They said it's unusual to try so many treatment measures and have none of them work. I didn't know so much about heart issues and functions prior to this. People I have known either lived, or died. I have never known anyone who required a lot of treatments, or had multiple heart attacks. I'm glad your mom was okay. A stroke does NOT sound like a good time.

TMR so many good things! A bigger apartment with a pool!! The pool might be perfect exercise when you recover more Elevator and garbage chute are great conveniences but for your health really excellent New furniture from your DD and SIL is nice but really nice is they are showing their love and appreciation for help with the children AND no one asking for a plunger at 4 am!
Very happy for you, enjoy and wishing you continuing health progress

Although I am up early, it's not 3AM, so that's a good thing. The house is quiet, which is unusual for this home at 6AM.
Normally, I hear working out and things going, at this time of day.
DGD1 is NOT a morning person, so when she has to wake up for school, watch out.
My back is not happy today. Holy moly! I get worn out, just trying to remain upright.

I got out today and shoveled some snow. It felt good to get some fresh air and exercise. We had a high of 28 today so it wasn't too bad out there. I also go a bird feeder hung up and I can see it from my desk. I enjoy watching the birds.

toomuchreality a new place? Oh, goody! Can we give you a house crashing warming? Hello my snowbound peeps! I gave myself permission to stop by and see you, but only if I did some tax preparation. I did that. Most everything is online now.

I had to take a long bath to get my back and legs from constant complaining after all the walking yesterday. Not sure if I mentioned it but the tooth extraction consult went well. In dad news, he is still alive after a week has elapsed and he asked me to call again tomorrow or Sunday. So I will. I think his preferred format is I talk at him about my life and I can ask a couple questions that have one word answers. Unfortunately, the pastor he does not like violated his wishes and came to give him final rites. Not sure what will happen but YS is aware and was unable to visit tonight and instead moved her visit until tomorrow morning. I have texted her I will be working at that time. Also spoke to my BFF from my younger years only to find out she fell and has a bad hematoma. Caught her as her eldest son was taking her home from the hospital and getting her groceries.

I'm sorry, for all you are going through right now. It's a lot. I hope Crestie and Moonshadow are doing well, at least. You need support of some kind, even if it's not human. I spent the morning trying to get paperwork needed for my new place, from the Soc Security Offices. Apparently there was a big storm back east somewhere and their offices there were closed for the day, which made it much harder. We finally got in contact with someone who said they were going to fax the info within 5 minutes, after we sat waiting in the local office for 2 hours. That would have worked, if he'd done it. We didn't find out until about 2 mins before 6PM, that it wasn't recieved. The leasing office closed at 6, so this delays my process for 2-3 days, at least. That's frustrating. DD2 and I.... I'm back in hospital. 11PM Friday. UGH.

Up because I finally got myself to get up and fill the humidifier water tank. Not looking forward to much of this day. Gov Murphy actually shut down all/most? govt offices yesterday like one of the bad flooding days. And like that other day many of the school systems announced closures Thursday night instead of waiting. While it ended up being less bad than it could have been, it was rather slick out there and probably was the right decision for the schools.
It might feel like high single digits the entire day.

I'm back in hospital. 11PM Friday. UGH. Curse word. I'm sorry it feels like something is going on like Mars is kicking Venus the planet in the head and Mercury has gone so far retrograde as to appear as if its in an entirely different solar system. But I digress as always, major crap afoot in my reality too. Yes there was a serious storm forecast for parts of the Eastern seaboard. Sometime this weekend I'll find out what happened for real in parts of NJ I wasn't in physically yesterday. Locally we ended up with less than two inches of snow like I asked the universe for instead of the up to 5 inches that was possible when I went to bed Thursday. I hope your hospital stay is short. Customers are more self involved and persnickety than ever so it feels like we will get more entitled folks later today. I don't think I'd survive the customer service requirements of a high net worth customer bank. What some of ours do sometimes seems so off the charts as it is. Better go back to finding my 6 points of ID and docs for the car so they will do the right thing today. It no longer feels ironic that when I went to the part of the NJ MVC website listing the 6 points of ID, that they DID NOT EVEN LIST THEM there. Attempts to find a list kept pointing to that exact same page of wordy paragraphs that said nothing useful except they should be your docs and have your official address on them. The Real ID docs 2 plus 1 plus 6 was almost less helpful. Apparently I picked the wrong 2 plus one and there was no way at work to uncheck my selections and try again. So I never got to the 6 points of ID page because I could not step through their forced checklist. Moonshadow is OK. His support mostly concerns needing my presence or food or cleaning of the cage, but at least he would miss me if I were gone and he does trust me way more than he did when I first rescued him. Crestie is partial comfort because he is silly but these are bad conditions for him so if I let him out of the cage he'd be highly likely to bite hard enough to draw blood thinking my white hand and fingers were some giant grub he could eat. He has been good and listened to the "feets inside" and other verbal cues he's heard for years. They do give me comfort which is why I do not think I could live alone without pets. I'd need way more humans in my life to make up for the loss. FWIW.

Very sorry TMR back in hospital. Hoping it’s just a small ‘tune up’ and you’ll be soon in your new apartment

Just called out sick as I did not sleep. This will leave the office in a world of hurt for today, for which I am not happy. But I ran after that bus and shouldn't have, reinjuring my right knee, ankle. etc. and the weather is even colder and windier than yesterday. Borderline deadly for my chronic sinus issues. I have enough trouble hydrating and do even worse in times of extreme stress which is now.

Signs its all gone to hell-
TMR back in hospital Childhood bestie reached as she is leaving hospital after a fall which created a very large hematoma on her thigh/hip. Pastor dad intensely dislikes and has requested he does not visit came to dad's hospice room in the company of W. Gives final rites per dad. ( I hope YS and I remember to report this breach of pastoral duty to the church hierarchy.)
W allegedly helped dad move from his old house into the new one. There are many people who play nice but actually prey on the elderly. I am even more concerned that W is one of them than I was last year.
hating this. Not my choices, was not invited to the circus, but it is still hard as eldest daughter.

Horrible dream too in the less than an hour I slept last night. Involved rivers with log jams of wreckage on them to get past and snow leopards and similar on rocks and in the water. I think the dream even had a warning in it about the leopards etc. All this flooding and other stuff is even taking over my dreams.
