I knew I was tired all day today but didn't realize just how tired I was. Finished up work about 2:30 and was still fighting sleepiness so about 3:30 decided to take a nap. Woke up about 5:30 and thought I will lay here a few more minutes, next thing I know it's 7:45. It is now 9:30 and getting ready to head back to bed. Your body must have really needed the extra sleep. Understandable considering everything you've gone through lately! Hoped it helped, at least a little.

I didn't get up until 6am, which is late for me. Sometimes the body just takes over and says this is what I need you are going to sleep.

Brunch looks yummilicious, Nancy! Thanks. Hi,peeps....I'm still alive & kicking - though I use the term loosely. Irecenty injured (broke) my other foot & had another short stint in the hospital. I should take the hint and avoid walking. At least I can count on RS to keep me grounded.

Great to see you ՏՇԾԵԵʅՏɧ_LԹՏՏʅҼ! And, thanks for saving me some brunch, NancysSummerSip. It's been a full day, with church this morning (we're still masking up & social distancing), and I FINALLY got to peek inside the house DD is purchasing. It needs a few repairs, but I could see myself living there with some color changes, etc., so I told her I approve.

Good Morning Kids! Sharon, I hope you got caught up on your sleep this weekend. You can already feel the heat & humidity ramping up here. Unfortunately, that's a migraine trigger for me, so I'm going to try to NOT do too much today.

He's doing better, skeeter. Thanks for asking! He's healing up, but still has to take his meds thru the end of this week. We're debating how much long he needs the "cone of shame", as we don't want him to reopen the area that he scratched bloody earlier.

It has been cool, cloudy, and breezy this past weekend and is forecast to remain that way for the rest of the week. We were supposed to get some showers but mostly we have just gotten some rain drops now and again.

Good Afternoon Kids! Well, we tried taking the cone off of Speedy last evening, and he did well for a couple of hours, but when he started scratching/biting again, we had to put it back on. Poor baby!

Poor baby! Sorry to hear that How long do you have to wait before you can give him some Benadryl ?? I called the vet today to double-check, but he hasn't returned my call yet. Originally, I was told I had to wait until he'd completed his 10-day dose of antibiotics. I'll call again tomorrow.

Hi Kids! Happy Friday! I went to a plant sale at my church this morning, and bought something to add to the backyard. The vet DID finally call back, but now I have to figure out how to sneak Speedy his Benadryl, as it's the first medication he's ever taken that he is spitting out. Darned dog!

Cheese or pieces of hotdog were the best methods I had for getting a dog to take his meds. My sinuses are cresting, I wish I would get over this runny nose soon.

Hello Peeps! Made it through surgery. Leg is elevated and iced, so the computer is not a comfortable place to it st the moment. Post op is Tuesday and I should be able to walk with a boot on by then.

NancysSummerSip rest up and take it easy, glad you are on the other side of your surgery. Looks like the kids will be able to pop into town for a quick visit. I got some fresh strawberries and whipping cream to put on our floffles tomorrow morning. DGD already asked if we were going to have floffles.

Good Afternoon Kids! So glad to hear you did well with surgery, NancysSummerSip. I'm betting you won't be sitting still for long... It's still hot here, but the humidity is finally moving in the right direction. But, we're still breaking heat records here. It's supposed to be in the 70's this time of the year, but we keep hitting the 90's, or higher.

My grandkids are weird, neither one of them really cared for whipping cream. DGS chowed down on the strawberries. He didn't care much about his waffle, just keep the strawberries coming. DD is allergic to strawberries so she doesn't ever have them in the house. My Mom is also allergic to strawberries. DD used to be able to eat them but seems to becoming progressively more allergic as time goes by, she pretty much stopped eating them when her throat started feeling weird. DGS has also added another noise to his truck playing repertoire. Being around all the farm trucks and the air brakes he now goes pssssst when he is rolling his trucks around on the floor.

Hi Kids! We won't be driving to visit my FIL for Father's Day. Combination of problems: DH has to work, and the small town FIL lives in is "allergic" to wearing masks, so even though we're vaccinated, staying home seems like the smarter option. I did buy a gift card for him today, and will be sending it off in the mail tomorrow.

Last weekend and into Monday we had a good soaking rain, this weekend is going to be a scorcher with temps in the upper 90's. I would like to go somewhere but not sure where so will probably stay home and work around the house.

Hello peeps! Thought I should check in! Foot is OK; staples should come out this Tuesday. I saw the doc last Tuesday and he was very happy with the progress. The pin is straight, no bleeding or infection. I can put minimum weight on the foot. I use a cane and my four-wheeler scooter. I can do some housecleaning now, but nothing heavy. I did tidy the bathrooms, swept the floors and I can do light laundry. Nothing heavier than that.
