Sarah Palin Presidential Odds Plummet On InTrade After Arizona Shooting  Sarah Palin's InTrade odds of running for president took a tumble Sunday following Saturday's deadly shooting in Arizona. In the wake of the shooting, the former Alaska governor has faced accusations that her placement of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) on a list of 20 targeted legislators -- highlighted behind crosshairs -- may have played some role in catalyzing the violence. Palin's camp has strongly denied any violent intention or any connection to the events. Palin addressed the tragedy herself in a statement Saturday: My sincere condolences are offered to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today's tragic shooting in Arizona. btw InTrade is an odds making/stock trading website, they make odds on things like the academy awards, climate weather, politics etc.

I don't know what to think about Palin. She always seems to be playing a part for media exposure. I got the same feeling when Obama started his run for president. The constant referrals of him being a "media darling" just enhanced that feeling.

I think Demin hit it right on the head. Palin stands no chance of winning anything so I never understood the lefts obsession with her. If she ran it would probably be the best news the democrats heard all year. I still think she is good family person with lots of neat characteristics and has accomplished more in politics them most will ever achieve but agree her future is brighter elsewhere.

I don't believe that she would have a chance were she to run. Of course, I said the same thing about GW Bush, and years ago, Ronnie Raygun. But by any conventional read, her odds of making it are very low. Her support base loves her, but it is very narrow. I think she is probably bright enough, and more importantly, probably has enough common sense, to realize that her future is brighter if she goes in other directions. We have a gal that occasionally comes into the post that acts like she's about as sharp as a bowling ball. One time I stated that the post IQ Average just dropped 40 points when she walked in. Somebody that knows her quite well has since informed me that she really is quite intelligent although you wouldn't know that from her actions around the post. Why she plays stupid and what she gains from it is still beyond me. I believe palin is similar...."stupid like a fox"....but you can see what she gains. She's found a gimmick and she's playing it out to her full advantage. |

9.4 was a josh..actually trying it try out to see if just possible....forgot the reaction to hard core lefties..you mean those who are so up set with Obama's decision to compromise on the Bush Tax cuts , my suggestion to step back and see where they would go to get most of their wants addressed at least partially? That was a long ago rant...methinks.
