leanna: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the Starburst/Skittles Qs. I got your envie yesterday and and "bought" the Skittles today (no fun size Starburst in my store). I got two bags of autumn mix and (8) bags of fun size Skittles for $.06 OOP. ;D My CVS has A TON of candy still on the shelf. We'll see what happens over the weekend. You're VERY welcome I'm glad it got there in plenty of time. I took the envelope directly to the post office because I wanted it to get to you quickly. 8 cents OOP - that's AWESOME!!! leanna: I know you're a candy nut, so don't forget the after-Halloween candy clearance. Last year it wasn't too good around here. Target is usually the best if they still have anything left when they mark it down to 90%. One year I got bags of fun-sized Reeses with caramel for $.09/bag - no coupons used!!

I'm going to pick up 4 more bags of the Kit Kats at Sfwy this week, because after q's and doubler, I can get them for .50 a bag. I've told my husband he has to eat the snack size Kit Kats instead of the standard size. He was happy to oblige.

I went to Shoprite this morning to try the buy $20 in shoprite HBA get a $10 cat. I just knew this one was going to be trouble! I purposely picked a time when I wouldn't feel rushed and the place would be quiet. The ad listed a few items in each category but then said "over 500 items to choose from". That always makes it sooooo much harder. I even saw the HBA mgr and asked if certain thing, like cotton balls, were included. He said he thought all SR HBA should be so do it and if it didn't come out he told courtesy to force it to print for me. So I bought a bunch of SR band aids, sr triple antibiotic oint, some SR benedryl and some cotton balls. I even made sure that that was the only thing in that order so there would be no confusion. The total before tax was $20.87 and sure enough no cat after I paid with $15 in cats from last week and $5.87. So off to courtesy I went. Do they just give me my cat on the mgr's say so of course not. The woman starts off by saying that I didn't get the cat because I paid for part of it with the different cats from last week. Finally the courtesy supervisor came over and told her that how I paid shouldn't have anything to do with the cat spitting out or not just if I bought the right stuff. So she had the girl force it. It is nice being able to restock my emergency kit plus a few extras for $5.87 and get a $10 cat that is good till 11/9 but man was that more work than I wanted. ETA I know I am whining when I should be thrilled. I guess I have been getting a litttle spoiled from all the deals there that came off with no problem lately. Someone beat me with a wet noodle. You're not whining. You're venting. It definitely is frustrating when you have to spend a lot of time to get the deal. It takes away from the satisfaction. There are good couponing days and bad couponing days. You hit a bad one, but, like you said, at least you were successful in getting the cat - good job!

Does anyone know if the $1 off M&Ms CRT at CVS is printing more than once per card?
ETA: Never mind; the answer is YES!! I have a rain check from CVS - $2 for the 12.6 oz. bags - the same as the CRTs. ;D

Your trainer is hot. B. I just finished polishing off a Mounds candy bar (full size) and some dark Raisinets when I got home and saw your msg. Thanks for making me feel guilty. _______________________________________________ HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONSTANZ!!!

I think that enthusiasm would drive me bonkers at 5 am. When I retired, I swore my days of getting up at 4:30 am were over for good.

Murpath I KNOW they are getting frustrated w/all the computer ‘glitches’ in the just4U program. I am on chat terms w/the cashiers (2/3 of whom work customer service most of the time) in the express lanes at my most frequent store. Supposedly corp is aware & working on the issue. I suspect I will be in assisted living before it is fully fixed & I JUST went on Medicare this summer.
I do know that if it happens 1 more time I am emailing Safeway corp and complaining.
I wonder if the price guarantee applies (scans wrong = FREE) on just4U prices.

skubikky/kathyattraverse: I looked in the HCW database and there is nothing available right now on Purina ONE cat food , BUT HOUND ALERT $4/1 Purina ONE Dog Food (10/9 SS) When I went to check the data base for skubikky, I saw the $4/1 dog food Q. For whatever reason we did not get the SS that weekend - very unusual. If anyone has any of these to spare, I would love to have them. I now have (2) doggies so our dog food consumption has increased by 50%.

So when he high fives me after every exercise I complete just chock full of enthusiasm, I really want to punch him in the face.

But wanted to ask if you see any good dog food deals please post. I'm down to about 4 pounds too. That will be gone quick with two fattie beagles.

skubikky: Target had a $1 Target q on their website awhile back. Also, the smaller bags of Purina One Beyond will have a $2 q inside. I've been able to combine that with the Target q to get a pretty good deal when the food was on sale. There was also a Purina One q in the not too distant past for $2 of any size--that was great because I was able to get the 1 lb. bag/box at SW for close to free. So, hopefully, the ones saveinla mentioned for this weekend will be like those!

dancinmama/mummy: I think I may have some of the $4 q's. If so, I'll send your way.
jdtsnl: Thanks for the message and thinking of me! I pm'd you.

Got these things:
10 lb baking potatoes $4 1.5 lb sweet potatoes $1 10 lbs of apples $3

I'm finally back to a real computer. For some reason I couldn't log on via my phone. I've missed you all.
Thank you to RubySlippers for the Nutella coupons - she just remembered I liked them and sent them.
I think I already thanked Deb In Wa, but JIC, thanks again. Did I miss anyone?
I managed to get SIX inserts from last weekend. I haven't got to cutting yet, but if there's something someone wants, please let me know.

saveinla / murphath: Thank you both sooooo much. I REALLY CVS. Mine is still accepting expireds, but I avoid using them unless it means getting a killer deal on something I want/need. I had the opportunity to stockpile Halloween candy for free with a BOGO Hershey CRTs. I got (8) bags of Skittles on Tuesday for $.06 OOP for the little ghosts and goblins. Today, I got (8) bags of Hershey with Almonds for $.80 OOP. With the cost of sugar and cocoa going sky high, I figured I HAD TO get the Hersheys. I hid the chocolate behind some Cottonelle TP that's high on a shelf in the master walk in closet. Shhhhh...... ;D

Bluesclues: I love your trainer!! His emphasis on functional exercise is what I try to emphasize to my patients, and I love the analogy of working off the small size candies, as I can't get many of my patients off "walking on the treadmill" idea of exercise... don't think I could handle it at 5 a.m., though......
