So can you have the HPV virus in one part of the body and not in another part of the body? My test was not a blood test, it was a test done off the pap smear specimen.
Well, yes and no. It's always there but it tends to flare up the most in women in your cervical cells and is one of the most common causes of cervical cancer.
So the test is designed to specfically test that area in women.
Gay men they are finding are susceptible to anal cancer via HPV so they are trying to design a test for that.
