Frank if you really could remember shit , it would be something. I would have Virgil pull up jarhead1976 profile. You will see my position a long time ago. You nailed it out @ $1200. That was before it made $1900. Like a dumb ass I bailed. Silver paid well at the time $41 . Duff made a great call.
keep trying Qtip!

If you really bailed at a profit, then you did the right thing. Nobody gets hurt taking a profit. Duff is a smart guy, but depending on when you took his "advise", you either made some dough of you got killed. Keeping people in gold has never been good investment strategy. I have traded GLD but would never invest in anything exclusively.

I could never understand how people could go all in on one stock or commodity. I enjoy old cars, old pocket watches , COINS and art as well , O'Keeffe being a favorite.

So why is Putin accumulating Gold? Great question! My best guess - he's got Europe on their knees, and not in the way the EU is keeping their numbers out of recession. With a push if a button and a flip of a switch he can push gold back to $1500-$1600, and use it as collateral to print Rubles to flood Eastern Europe with their new currency... As you say JAT.

Both China and Russia have been stockpiling Gold - My best guess is that they want to replace the US as the World's currency and if they have strong Gold Reserves then they can realize their dreams. Especially since there has been speculation that Fort Knox is actually empty.

Some where on one of these threads I called for oil at $40 a barrel earlier this year. FrankieQ replied about it but now I cant find it. Looks like the right call I think.

And - the price of Gold keeps getting pushed down - some say that the US is behind it to target China and Russia. There is a war going on behind the scenes and most don't even realize it.

Still read the wisdom of several posters on this site as often as I can. Stopped posting when too many were allowed to incite just for the sole purpose of causing trouble. Life is way too short to dodge their rants while trying and have a meaningful discussion. And YES ... I am doing very well. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year! Steady
