That's the Hubby's plan. It is only partly my efforts. DH is carrying most of our financial load. DH is the first guy I ever met who paid for everything with his saved cash 1st. His education, car, clothes, vacations etc etc.

After dating a few deadbeats, one who borrowed a good bit of money from me and never ever paid it back, I feel very lucky that I found him.

August mortgage payment goes in in 10 days. Counting them down.

Most of my old college friends, who used to look down on my Hubby with his old used cars, and thrifty ways, now say they are looking for someone like him now.
I never told DH how they felt about him back then when we were dating, and how most of them wanted me to him because he was not a big spender. Did not want to hurt his feelings.
Glad I saw through all that.

Well ladies, I'm sorry to tell you that I am leaving this club. I wish that I could say it is because I am posting a big honking update. It isn't. I decided to take my federal student loan out of my race, since I am not really racing it. The interest on it is even less than my mortgage, so when I get done with my private student loans, I'm really not sure if I would race this federal one or the mortgage next.
