Wow - did I piss them off by suggesting that they might want to post articles by experts.

she is passing drug test we keep making her takeThat's cause drug addicts are smart and you usually have 24 hours notice before given one. They know how to pass them. A lot of the hard drugs clear your system before 24 hours so all they have to do is wait till AFTER they piss in a cup to snort or do whatever they do and they get away with it. My husband works with a couple of coke snorters and this is how they explained it to him. Even though he knows this, since they "pass" they will never be fired for drug useage since there is no "proof" according to the company.

Beth - see post 165. That is the comment I made on that article. It was a cute little essay, but it offered zero advice, or even any learned lessons at all. But, millions read it - so therefore it is appropriate. (??)
I actually don't have a problem with those kind of cutsey things - if they are surrounded by articles with more depth.

Wow - did I piss them off by suggesting that they might want to post articles by experts. LOL! I actually asked them to correct a spelling mistake. (They did.) I posted a link to these boards in a WIR article that nobody else is likely to read, but it is a start. money.bundle.com/everybodysmoney/mouse-454-update-questions-13721

I saw that - and it was awesome! I loved how you called her out about declaring financial independence, and then considering accepting money for car repairs and dental work from her parents.
And then pointing out her spelling error.
I guess they have bunches of paid contributors, but not very many proof-readers.

Twit coworker who didn't come to work or call yesterday is still employed. She claims to have left a message on the boss's phone so now they are making nice and training her to do what I have trained her to do before but since she refused to actually do any work doesn't know how to do.
I am much to busy posting here to train her again. I asked my boss if they keep her what kind of message it sends to people like me that keep showing up.

I hate bundle, it just isn't designed for posting. It logs you out if you have been on a single page too long. So I write up a long, thoughtful response to an article only to find it won't post because they have logged me out & everything I have typed is lost.
I was trying to respond to the sex-ed thread everyone seemed to think was so fantastic that it should be used to teach. Wanted to point out she left off many birth control options. Also that it was stupid to include the full cost of a month's supply of the pill, 2 packs of condoms, a morning after pill, & a pregnancy test all into the cost of a single night of sex. How much sex does she plan to have in a single night & why is she so paranoid about pregnancy that she thinks that 3 methods of birth control will fail?

Yes, I live in BFE part of NY, have 2 preschoolers so I rarely venture out, but even I spend more than that.

Did you know that Bundle has been beta testing since June? Someone wrote an introduction to the new "WIR" without notifying any MSN Money WIR captain (I would have heard if that was the case) in June or since then. money.bundle.com/article/introduction-women-red-boardI am not feeling sorry for Mike one bit now.

I'm not sure why so many of you persist in spending time there, if you find it so unsatisfactory. We have this forum now! Let's not cast any more attention on that place.

So, all this week I have tried to post over there, and I can log in, but when I try to post a reply I get thrown out to an error screen that asks me what I'm looking for.
I don't see an email telling me I'm not welcome. But, I guess they couldn't handle The Thyme!

Will $19 even buy a movie ticket in Manhattan anymore? I like the comment about surveys being skewed such as to guarantee the outcome they want.

ummm - didn't we start our own website? At least our own version of message boards. As much as I didn't like Mint, I don't think it was an ill-conceived or easy program to put together. Recreating that would seem difficult to say the least. What is this??

It's not just you. I don't think that they want anyone outside of their paid contributors posting there. Every time I log in to comment it just logs me back out. I wrote up a long response to the $10 a month to buy mystery free samples article, and explained that kind of frivolous spending is why she continually fails to meet her savings goals. I also explained that having other paid contributors respond so positively to her spending articles just makes her feel like that kind of abnormal spending is normal. When I hit post it gave me an error and now every time I click to an article it logs me out.

Sorry Laterbloomer - I am not sure what you are asking. We were discussing the tools at bundle and mint and danerra said "Let's start our own website." And someone else agreed.
So, my response was that we already started our own message boards, but I don't think we could re-invent mint's money management tools.
What is your question?

I guess they did. For about a week they had 5-8 replies to their posts, they are now back to averaging 1 or 2 comments. I hope that makes them very happy.

For the questions as far as getting an error when posting - I've noticed Bundle automatically logs you out after an extended time period. So, if you try to post & took to long to write a response, then you only get an error. But, then you get caught in some wierd loop where you log in & it will say you are logged in, but still not let you post. I've found that when this starts happening, then hit the logout button & just start all over logging in. I've also learned to copy my posts before posting just in case the website timed out & I get an error.
Overall, the site just isn't designed for forum like conversation & still seems to have some bugs they need to work out. I haven't been there in a while now, have just kind of given up on Bundle.

I read the article, logged in, typed a short response and hit "post" and got nothing.
Yes, I've pretty much given up on them too. I just kept trying this week to see if I was really locked out, or if their system is just buggy. Both totally viable! My last post was when I criticized the article about the guy who didn't get UI for 6 weeks, and didn't give any insight or hindsight or anything. Just a litany of being jerked around by an employer. So, it is entirely possible that they banned me for life. You would at least think they would have the decency to tell me.

That is scary. I know you can delete your entire bundle account, maybe that would help. Also, I would try to check your privacy settings on FB.

So, all this week I have tried to post over there, and I can log in, but when I try to post a reply I get thrown out to an error screen that asks me what I'm looking for. That's happened to me, too. I was posting in response to an article with a headline about low-income people getting their tax"returns" (sic) loaded onto a prepaid Visa card. I suggested they change the headline. What an amateurish mistake for a supposed financial writer- confusing "return" with "refund".

I seriously think they know we have a point - but can't fix it, so they just want us to go away and stop talking about it.
