This is a sad day for the left wing in America. For years, Beck has been the left's boogeyman. He has been there for them, time and again, in their efforts to deprive him of his right to free speech, to be a target of their hatred, bigotry, intolerance and violent fantasies, and to stoke the fires of fear that fuel the left wing propaganda machine known as the mainstream media. Now there is only Sarah, and the left is hurting. Won't you please help me console them in their time of grief? Yes, they may put on a brave face to the world and try to rejoice in the silencing of an enemy, but deep down they are in pain. So, please, be kind to your lefty friends and loved ones today, for it is a dark, dark day for them...

Looks like it's that time again. Cracked.com has a list of "Worst internet arguing techniques" and this is #8, "First Amendment Reinterpretation" www.cracked.com/funny-3809-internet-argument-techniques/You need to update your copypasta. It's Bachmann, the Waterloo of the Republican party who we're getting our laughs from, oops I mean we're so scerred, whatever you do, don't have her be the Republican candidate! He's going to the internet or something. Do you find facts to be an obstacle in your spiels? And in the Drama dept., they need a ranking higher than "queen." Your obsession with what's "deep down" in liberals is rather unsettling.

www.theblaze.com/stories/media-matters-celebrates-glenn-becks-finale-show-with-victory-party/MEDIA MATTERS CELEBRATES GLENN BECK‘S FINALE SHOW WITH ’VICTORY’ PARTY Posted on June 28, 2011 As Glenn Beck’s finale show on Fox News draws near, the folks at George Soros’ progressive Media Matters are tickled pink. So much so in fact, they even hosted a soiree to celebrate their victory. The group gives themselves a hearty pat on the back and all the kudos for “getting Glenn off the air” by claiming to have pressured advertisers into pulling out of Beck’s time-slot. Huffington Post’s Zach Carter interviewed various Media Matterites at the event, many of whom said now that Beck is “gone” they’ll be ever-vigilant of the remaining “right wing media nuts” out there — which, according to one attendee, constitutes the entire Fox News network. Ironic, considering a recent UCLA study actually puts Fox News left of center. Regarding Beck’s plans for the future, another guest at the event believes Beck should “look into the internet” as it provides a large audience of people interested in “baseless conspiracy theories.” Speaking of conspiracies — Carter pointed out to the guest that George Soros, who funds Media Matters, had been shorting Beck on Intrade. “How is that not market manipulation?” Carter asked. Naturally, the question was dodged. The group that was formed out of a paranoid belief in a right-wing media “conspiracy” doesn’t believe they, themselves, are conspiracy theorists. Priceless. Huffington Post provides the video: VIDEO in link. Party time for Soros liberals!!

Just like I said. He's not dead. SSDD. So why the Media Matters/Soros "victory party"? What did they do? Should the right have a victory party because the ratings of every left-wing news and talk show on TV and radio are in the toilet?

Kind of like how giddy some conservatives became when Keith Olbermann was fired/suspended ...
... or how they tried so hard to push legislation that would de-fund NPR ...
... or how conservatives were clambering for Rachel Maddow to step down after she repeated (not fabricated) some bad information about a conservative ...
... you know, that tried and true virtue of all too many conservatives these days: hypocrisy.

wait..... wait for it... someone got deleted for referring to welfare people..... now we have "all too many conservatives are hypocrites"... not allowed to refer to SOME groups in general ways...... let's see where the line is here....

Glen Beck is a fascinating character quite unlike other media types . I gather that he has decided to "go into business for himself." It reminds me of the young Ted Turner. Everyone thought he was nuts too. It'll be interesting to see how this works out. I'd bet against it, but the "Super Station" too seemed far fetched at the time. What seems really odd today may very well be taken as a matter of course in the [maybe not so distant] future. Young people tend to think that things have always been pretty much the same and probably will continue, but change is subtle, you don't necessarily see it while it's happening, but only after it is in effect. Older folks tend to realize that the future cannot be predicted, although it can be anticipated. the sad fact is that many don't even perceive change after it has occurred, believing that current conditions have always existed or being blissfully unaware of what used to be. It'll be interesting to see what Glenn Beck becomes; a Paul Revere sounding the alarm or an Elmer Gantry sinking into oblivion ~ or neither and just disappears. He really does get under the skin of the arrogant liberals though, doesn't he?

NPR deserves to be de-funded, name me another large political Radio station (note I said Political not R or D, Right or Left, lib or conser) that the government funds?

Beck is not at all confusing if you follow him. I google what he says, and he tells the truth. He tells things like a continuing story. If you see him, or hear him, often, you get familiar with his messages and there is no mystery at all. He always tells people not to believe him, to do their own research, which I do. The fact that he talks about obscure things outside the MSM does not make him a nut, or a liar. Not when the proof is out there to anyone that wants to see it.

I wasn't referring to liberals in general, just to the ones who seem to demean anyone not in their group. Anyone who simply groups Beck with "most of the radical right" either hasn't paid much attention to Beck or I'm not sure what they mean by the "radical right." I suspect that a lot of people who consider themselves liberal as well as a lot of libertarians agree with a lot of Beck's positions ~ or at least consider them interesting.

LOL! "All too many" could mean one conservative or every last one of them. Nice try, Krickitt, but you score a zero on the Martyrmeter today.
When one reads between the lines, it's not difficult to see the real goal. NPR has been funded by the government for YEARS, perhaps even decades. No one cared ... UNTIL ...
*drum roll*
... they fired Juan Williams for making a crack about getting nervous seeing people in traditional Muslim dress! And since we all know the really serious conservatives aren't particularly keen on Muslims or their religion, any crack against Muslims is just peachy keen! So how dare NPR fire someone for making a racist comment about Muslims that would be the equivalent of saying, "I get nervous when I see a group of blacks together."
And considering Juan Williams was black and wrote books about civil rights, he, of ALL people should understand what a stupid thing that was to say. Now, I don't believe Williams should have been fired, per se, but wanting to de-fund NPR because of it is just the opposite extreme.
(Oh, I know people will say, "but, we don't want to de-fund it because of Williams, but because the government shouldn't fund any radio show!" Except the timing between Williams being fired and the sudden push to de-fund NPR is just too coincidental for me).
