Any one looking for rite aid surveys after several weeks the survey fairy is back in my neighborhood. I really miss those surveys! Wonder if I had a new card if they would come more often like the $3/$15 coupons at CVS any thoughts?

It seems like Rite Aid is trying to wean us off the surveys. When they first came out, I got a survey for every other transaction. This week I landed 2 for doing the Pepsi deal twice, at two different Rite Aids. The deals haven't been too good lately so I guess that is some small consolation.

finnime: I hope your family likes it. DH is on high cholesterol meds and should be eating more chicken and fish and less beef. Since he loves the beer can chicken this has been a lifesaver for me. He would eat beef every night if I made it.

saveinla: Thanks so much for posting. Personally I like the paper EBs so this is good news.

I am sure that most people are casual users of EBs. They probably earn them buying things that they would have purchased anyway so they do not see it as a loss if they never redeem them.

Add me to wanting my EB's on the receipt. I want to be in charge of when I redeem them, I don't want them just being automatically applied to my purchases.

Someone mentioned MorningStar previously. I found booklets today and picked up a few. They aren't great, but have the following if anyone wants them. The expire 7/31 so act quick if you want me to mail them to you.

$1/2 KingsHawaiian
$1/2 Cheez-its
$1/2 Keebler Cookies

The others are save on things like produce, bottled water, deli items or dip when you buy 2. Not great, but maybe someone can do something with them.

Mine are slightly different Qs. 1$/1, 2$/2, 3$/4 Morningstar, 1$ Garden Delight pasta and 1$/2 King Hawaiian and all of mine expire 9/30.

I saw on some blog that there is supposed to be a new frozen booklet at SW coming soon. Hopefully there will be some great deals along with them.

I agree. I saved a 25% off any non sale item to my card to test it out and the scanner gave me the details like another Q today - so you can still be aware that you have something saved on your card.

We haven't melted yet, but it's been pretty close! I know, like everyone else in the 28 states being affected by this crazy heat is ready for it to be over! The thermometer in my car yesterday read 106! Yikes!!

I took the kids to Payless here in the St. Louis area and found out something really cool...at least for those of us with kids that go thru shoes like they are water. Our Payless will let you exchange shoes that have already been worn or are even worn out, as long as you have either your receipt or the box. There is also no time limit on that, so if you have a pair of shoes from, say, 2 years ago, and you still have the receipt OR the box, you can exchange them for a new pair! I learned something new, and decided that I need to hang on to my receipts or Payless shoe boxes!

hey hounds!! i've been quiet lately, not much to share. but thanks to everyone for posting ANY and all deals. i had a few great stops today....

subtotal $17.95+1.03 tax = 18.98, got back $10 for JF, $4 for gillete, $2 for oral-b. so i count it as a cost of $2.98 for over $50 worth of stuff!!!! i didn't really have to buy the swabs to reach the $50 mark but i actually needed them & had thought about spending more at kroger for some just because they are part of the mega & i needed a "filler" item.

at kroger i spent $55.76 but saved $66.84 & i bought several marked down items that don't count on the receipt as saved. so i saved well over the 54% it says on the receipt. a highlight of a few good items:
wisk 3.99 - $0.50 mega - $2/1 mfc x5 (thanks miss PT!!!)
silk almond milk 2.69 - $0.50 mega - $1/1 mfc x5
raisin bran 1.99 x2 -$1/2 mfc plus used a $1 off fresh fruit wyb 2 kelloggs.
cherries $1.99/lb (used above fruit q)

at target they had a TON of clearance clothing & there were some plus size items. i found a shirt reg. $10 marked $5, jeans reg. $29.99 marked $14.98 & capris reg. $24.99 marked $17.48. i used a 20% off merona purchase target IP & she didn't want to do the math. she said i'll just put in $2. I had already done the math for the $17.48 pants and told her no, it should be $3.50 & she put it through, although i think it should have been applied to the lowest priced item which was still $3 & not her made-up $2. i also had a $3 off any plus size clothing purchase, which attached itself to the shirt. DANG IT!! now that i think about it i really should have had another 20% q. hmm...

I don't think you could use it on that. It says "Sunshine Cheez-it Baked Snack Crackers" (7.5 oz or larger, any flavor, mix or match)

I will have extra time tomorrow. I will go back to Foodmaxx, right next to CVS, and grab some more booklets. Then I'll go and try it out. If it works I will send what I can get to you. PM me your address just in case, tomorrow night will be last night I am back at computer before they expire. If I remember correctly, you're in bay area and they should get there in 2 days tops.

Ok, this has GOT to be an all time low in the LOCC (land of crappy coupons). Got my RP...it is 5 pages long and the only coupons in it are a $5 i-flex, and a page with 4 Hannaford coupons. WE DON'T EVEN HAVE A HANNAFORD ANYWHERE NEAR HERE! That is ALL the coupons in it. Holy crap...how sad

va500: I think the $2 Wisk coupon would be a good one to look for, there are several l'oreal coupons in that range (if your grocery sells makeup), aren't there also some Covergirl $1 coupons out there? The $1 of cereal coupons might also be helpful with cheerios having the $1/2 and miniwheats $1/2 and the fiber one .75/1 coupons, too. I'm gonna have to do some looking, I think there are also some Off! coupons for $2 (but they might be $3). Wow. You are so lucky, I am excited for you. lol

Oh WOW -- you people are the best!!

This store always has doubles to 99 cents and on Wednesday they will double $1.
Most of the time they ignore the "do not double" statement,but once in a while one
will beep. I'll see how far I can run with the $2 off coupons.

I just came back from Wags and I want to give a big THANK YOU to MizzBear for those Pure Silk q's! I am seriously happy with getting shaving cream for 19 cents!!!!



I also wanted to share something from my Wags trip. There was a gal in front of me who had a bunch of candy bars and a bunch of coupons. And evidently something was going wrong with perhaps a coupon or 2 not being rung up. And she was letting the cashier know.

How she handled it was similar to how I handle it - direct. But I noticed it's interesting when you have a view of seeing someone else do something you yourself do. While she certainly wasn't rude or mean, I could see the situation becoming stressful for both the customer and the cashier.

I don't have some sort of perfect solution, but it just gave me an awareness of how when I'm tense or nervous it can affect the cashier.

And, ultimately, I've never been ripped off. Meaning, yeah, there are quite a number of times I've had to get my receipt fixed by a manager, but in the end I always do get my money. So, I'm going to work on being friendlier rather than so uptight.

Papermate Pens (8 ct) - 1*1.99
Softsoap Pampered - 3*2.00 - used 2*1$ IPQ and 1*35c MQ
Aftershave - 1*4.99

Used 5$/20 facial care CRT and 25% off saved to the card took off 3.89. This was for the 2 razors and 1 aftershave after subtracting the 8$ in Qs.
The 2nd CVS 2$ Q would not go through and she had to enter it manually, so that did not reduce the total for the 25% off.

Paid with 12$ ECB, 39c + tax and got back, 10 ECB for Schick, 3 ECB for softsoap, 1.99 for the pens and 1$ GBT

I had $7 in RR to use at WAGs, so I bought the following:

1 Wags brand tampons $1.50 get back $1.50 RR
2 Scunci hair bands (18ct) $3 get back $3RR WYB 2
1 Dentek flosser $2.99 used $1/1 IP, get back $2 RR
and I bought a peanut butter and strawberry jelly 2/$4, as nobody wants to put strawberry jelly on sale, so this is the best price I've seen in a while and I have a 4 yr old PB&J fanatic right now. So, I used the coupon and RR noted above, paid for the PB&J and got back $6.50 of my $7 worth of RR.

Leanna: I hear ya on the couponing etiquette, if I can't get the cashier to understand in two explanations, then I step to the side of the register and ask for the manager, USUALLY. Just to prevent things from getting stupid (you know what they say the definition of insanity is, right?). I try to be polite, but firm and sometimes funny, if the register is being stupid, but if they are intentionally not trying or refusing to understand, I move on pretty quickly to the manager. OTH, the other day I got stuck behind a lady at RA, who decided to do 5-6 transactions back-to-back, and to heck with the folks in line, and the sweet, little ole lady cashier didn't stop her. It was really bad coupon etiquette.....

leanna: That has always been my strategy. Of course, most of the cashiers know me pretty well. When a new cashier is hired, I introduce myself and let them know that I'm a crazy coupon kind of gal and chat them up a bit so they feel comfortable with me from the get-go. This has paid off in spades when I want a rain check or when a coupon beeps etc. They also see rather quickly that I will not hold up their line with multiple transactions (I always do ONE and then go to the back of the line). As a result, I tend to get preferential treatment: substitutions, price adjustments, coupons pushed through, etc. ;D
