Awesome gin! Free food is extra good.
Thanks RubySlippers for the info. That means I can get my hair color virtually free if they get it in stock before my red machine coupons expire. I already lost $1.50 this week because I didn't know that.

Optimist4LifeI usually check www.SundayCouponPreview.com to see what the coupons will look like for the week. I actually don't buy a subscription - I just buy the paper at the store. Depending on how good the coupons are, I will buy from 1-4 papers. This allows me to skip Sunday's where there are no coupons. However, this is not really an option for some people - because in some places the coupons are only promised for those with at-home delivery. I don't think you need to feel any guilt about the price tag issue on the Chicken Sausage. A store needs to honor the price tags on an item. Whether it was intentionally left there (it might have been) or accidentally, either way, they need to honor the price. Nothing to feel guilty about. BeyondtheRed Welcome (back) I've joined in just this year. Yay GIN! There's nothing tastier than free food! Well, maybe .02 pork chops, right TheHome6?

Welcome Optimist! It is nice to see you here. I am also in NJ as you know. The inserts are strange by me. The RP comes in the mail and today the SS comes in the paper, BUT the coupons in the SS in my paper today were maybe half of the ones listed on the coupon preview sites. Mostly if it is a high value one and they say it is $1.00 my paper will have one for 0.35 cents. Today I didn't even get any coupon for the Bic Soliel let alone a $3 one. The best advice I can give is to start really slow and only shop at one or two stores like one grocery store and a drug store like CVS or Rite aid but not both. And if you really need an extra of a coupon for a sale coming up you can ask here if anyone has extra that they would be willing to share. It is a great group of people. ;D Have you read Frugalsez blog? She is also from NJ truthfully probably not that far from you. ;D www.frugalsuz.blogspot.com/How is the new job going? 97, I am here occasionally although more as a lurker than a poster. I hear you on this weeks SS insert. Small and disappointing. I might have checked out frugalsuz's blog once but I'll work on finding time to check it again. My commute including walking from free parking is about 2 1/2 hours a day so its been adjustment for me. The job is going pretty well and I'm praying my body will fully adapt soon to all the book moving so I can enjoy getting toned instead of walking funny back to my car with hurt muscles. ;D The Home6, I'm impressed. $0.02, I don't think I've done that well yet but maybe soon? ETA: I do WAGS and lots of grocery stores. Some of the groceries I prefer are only carried by one store or two and no one carries everything so the one grocery store plan doesn't work for me.

Coupon insert question. How do I find out which coupon inserts should be in my Sunday paper. I live in NJ and just recently subscribed to the Sunday and Thursday paper due to an in store promotion. Its not going to pay for itself or break even if I only get one insert each Sunday. Last Sunday I just got the P&G insert and since it was the weekend before July 4th I wasn't too concerned. Today only the Smart Spending insert was in the paper. Is this correct or is someone not delivering my full paper inserts to me? Optimist4Life - If I was a betting kinda gal, I'd wager that this is the Star Ledger, am I right? That's the paper I always used to buy... until they only released the Red Plum coupons in the home mailer paper that comes on Thursdays. Stupid paper. Even if I was up for buying two papers a week (Thursday and Sunday), the coupons are only in the home mailer ones so it wouldn't do me any good. Depending on what county you live in, you might be better off getting another paper. The ledger is $2 a pop by me, so it gets expensive to buy multiple papers each week.

frugalsuz - have you seen if they have started the weekly back-to-school supplies list on slickdeals yet? do you remember the posts last year? she took the ads of all the stores & listed out what was on sale that week so you could compare everything in one post. i noticed sales started this week but didn't find anything like that on SD for this year, yet. jdnstl - hmm, I don't think so. What forum would that be under? I don't remember anything like that last year, but I was just starting to use SD at that time and probably totally missed it. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Used 12 Ups and paid 0.13 + tax and will get back 1$ SCR for the Mitchum, 2.69$ SCR for the Crest and 10$ SCR for the Compound W. The noxzema razor coupon comes as item not found on the 4 pk 3 blade ones. The cashier told me that it was happening on all the noxzema razors and they had entered it manually all day long.

I got my first free food item. I noticed that relish was on sale for $1 and there was a coupon near it for .50 off and we bought it. Great deal, then went home and two days later was getting ready for my shopping day and checking my coupons and saw a $1 off coupon for the same relish. Went back and it was still on sale so I got it for free. gin: Great job!! IF some of us had the coupon, would it get to you in time (before the sale ends) if we sent you extras? Pickles/relish have a VERY LONG shelf life. I remember when Vlassic relish was free after coupon a few months ago. I stockpiled both sweet and dill and gave my sis a small stockpile too. Last week I stockpiled Mt. Olive bread and butter pickles and dill spears, but I had to pay $1/24 oz. jar.

Have you found a reliable source?

You have to spend $20 pre-coupon so I'm out. In addition, when I signed in there was no coupon for strawberries. I'm glad it worked for you though.

Here is one of the videos showing how to get the bottle open. I couldn't find the one that suggested cutting off the little plastic bits inside the cap to make it easier to open next time. If you don't cut them off, you could just use his method to open each time. ' Thank you!!! Aw, thanks, nickyleey!! And you too, dancinmama! (I don't know how to multi-quote. )

We had an event all weekend, so I didn't manage to get to my hounding until later in the day than usual. But it wasn't that late - left at Noon. Wags had none of the free after RR razors. And my little RA was out of a lot of things - mostly the SCR items, which was kind of odd. They had no Noxzema razors left, which I expected, since they're a small store. I got a raincheck, even though the coupons expire 7/17. Because I've learned from DancinMama - you never know when a raincheck may come in handy. They were also out of the Crest TP, and the Compound W. Was going to cash out some UPs & make a little money on those. Got rainchecks of course, so we'll see what happens with those. So, here's what I did buy at RA - Purchases:
(4) Softsoap bodywash ($2.99 ea) = $11.96 (1) Oral B TB (raincheck) = $3 (1) Mentos = .99 Sub-Total = $15.95 Less:Survey Q = -$(3.00) (4) Softsoap MQ's $1 ea (Walgreens BB) = -$(4.00) (1) Oral B MQ (P&G 6/5) = -$(3.00) Total = $5.95 (Paid with $5 UP from last week's Jergen's deal & .95 OOP) I didn't realize until later I didn't get my UPs for the Softsoap! Doh! I called Customer Svc but they're not open. I'll probably get it straightened out at my RA tomorrow. So, once I get those, I'll have $8 in UPs, which is a nice profit, plus free women's bodywash! Yaaaaay! A little note about the Softsoap MQ's. I had no problem using them at my RA. I was checked out by the Manager and I showed him the coupon and asked him if he was ok with it, and he was totally happy to take it. However, my friend who lives in the next town wasn't allowed to use it at her RA. (Needless to say she's coming to shop at my RA later this week to get the softsoap.) So, just be aware that it's probably a coin toss as to whether your RA will take this coupon or not.

Optimist Yes, if there is a pricing error on something like meat in my favor I DO stock up. If a cashier had the …… brass set to REFUSE to let me buy it I would send for the store mgr first and the cops second. They priced it and are REQUIRED by law to sell it as priced. They can go back and ‘fix’ the remaining (if any) pkg. However, I have yet to find a cashier who EVER notices what each item scans for.

Morning hound friends!! I am a bad hound! I let $12 in Ups expire, well, actually, they got lost in my purse, out of sight - out of mind! Since my RA is 15 mins away, I have to make a special trip. I went to CVS to do the Lumene deal this week since I didn't make it back last time it was on sale. The 2 little pots that I stashed behind the larger Lumene stuff was still there!!! I was so happy! and they had the little packs of towelettes also. I just noticed that i was .58 short of $20 so my $5 EB didn't print. I must be losing my touch?! Also made a trip to a different Giant Eagle, bigger store, and did pretty well. I found the 2.00 Snuggle dryer sheets and the Reynolds Pop up sheets (both .50 after .75MQ doubled) My total was $110 after store card disc, OOP $46 after Q's. I really liked this store much better than the little store I had been shopping at. I had a problem with empty shelves every-danged-time I went! Have a GREAT day!

Hey kids.... Can't remember if anyone mentioned this, but I found 16 count package of Charmin Basic double rolls for $4.99 at Staples. Had stopped in to use the 75% off Q on envelopes. Just about plotzed when I saw that price! The cashier let me use a $1/2 Charmin Q to boot.
As I haven't been able to get free TP(missed the RA deal awhile back on their generic TP $1 yielding $1 UP) so I figured this would do nicely($4.99 + 0.40 tax = $5.39 - $1 = $4.39). Came out to $0.27/roll....better than a sharp stick in the eye I guess?

Have you found a reliable source? I'd been buying my inserts online until very recently. Some sites have stopped selling whole inserts (Coupons by Dede is one). I think that's yet another backlash of Extreme Couponing? Anyway, they were getting really expensive. I'd been buying from one seller on ebay who was great (consistent pricing, fast shipping) but when it started to creep up around $18 bucks for 5-6 sets of inserts and shipping, it just got to be too much. So now I'm back to buying papers again. Its nice to have all the coupons in my hands on Sunday. That's one of the downsides of buying inserts online. If there was a great deal using one of the coupons, I had to wait until later in the week to jump on it.

Hey Ladies (and guys), figured I'd stop quick to let you know that I received my Renpure rebate for $5.99!!! I was afraid that I wouldn't get that much since I did have other things on the receipt & did use RRs to pay for some of it. I meant to chime in last month when y'all were discussing your dislike of Renpure - I agree, I don't like it much either - makes my hair oilier faster. I'm still lurking around here & still not feeling the "game" much. I do use my coups at the grocery store, but it's been at least 2 weeks since I've stepped foot in WAGS. I'm still getting inserts from the gas station, so I'm *trying* to stay in the "game" - I haven't given up totally. Hope all is well with all of you! I do think of y'all often!

NAG repost Steam mop ?? I just bought one and know a selling point is no chemicals. But I love the smell of floor cleaner. Would it hurt if I add a few drops of fabuloso or pine sol to the water?

My WAGs is SOOOOOO good to me. I went in this morning HOPING that they would not have (10) of the Deerfield Farms cream cheese that is on sale 10/$10 (but you HAVE TO buy 10). Sure enough, they only had (4). I asked the Asst. Manager on duty if they would price adjust the (4) to $1 and write me a rain check for (6) and he said, "YES". I wasn't holding any RRs so I had to pay $4 in OOP, but now I have a rain check for (6) and will wait to cash it in until I get some FREE RRs. ;D I needed cream cheese and $1 is a good deal anyway, but I like FREE better.

Hey, ladies! Just wanted to let you know that Target has a coupon on their website for $2 off pillows. My store carries a standard Target pillow for $2.50, so you can get a new pillow for $0.50! The extra firm ones are also on sale for $5, so you can get those for $3.
For those of you who use Target diapers, the website has a $1 off their diapers, and there's also a $1 off any $3 Up and Up item, which is the Target diaper brand. Happy hunting!

I scrolled too fast & didn't see that you already wrote the answer to my question. Unfortunately, it wasn't in my inserts.
