We have a very nice stockpile at our house. It is just me and DH and lots of extra room so I use coupons and get household/personal items on sale and with coupons very often and stockpile them. We have a lot of toothpaste, toothbrushes, deoderant, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, body wash, shaving foam, razors, lotion, tampons, candles, energy efficient lightbulbs, papertowels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap and dishwasher soap. Lots of these have been on good sale plus coupons, others have been totally free as my FIL comes to visit once a year and always brings at least a pack of tp, paper towels, and usually also packs of bar soap, shampoo and razors for DH. If we never bought bar soap again my husband would be set for life (and he is only 29). He is not picky and we also take all the shampoo, conditioner and soap when we stay at a hotel, we have TONS of that all organized in the large size ziplock baggies so that it is easy to find. Our linen closet is FULL. But we aren't crazy like on the coupon shows where they store tp under the kids beds and food in the bedroom. We don't stockpile food too much. Just canned items when they are on sale, like soup, pasta sauce, pasta, and canned veggies. We also have a lot of cake mix and brownie mix that we always get when it is on sale for .88 cents or less so have it when we have rummage sales we always make cupcakes and brownies to sell. If we had to, I am sure we could go a month or 2 without buying food other then dairy and produce. We could probably go a year or more on household/personal products without having to buy anything except for tp. It seems we find most of our best deals on household items at Target. We bought all the EE lightbulbs they had one day as they had clearanced out a whole brand of them. I also have gotten lots of shampoo, conditioner (Pantene) and deoderant (Secret) on clearance there as they seem to clearance out certain scents or product sizes a lot. Plus Target issues coupons and I pair those with mfr coupons to get great deals.
