That's what I already said. We just need more union protection. That way we can go back to the good old days when nobody wanted union made stuff that was built on Fridays or Mondays.

That way we can go back to the good old days when nobody wanted union made stuff that was built on Fridays or Mondays. the only major unionization that is going on in America is the Unionization of Government, 6.9% of the private workforce is unionized while 36% of Governmental employees are unionized. With the reduction in Private union rolls since the early 60's I will be surprised if 4% of the private workforce is unionized come 2015. The time of unions have unfortunately come and gone, now is the time of Government Unions, suing the people who's taxes pay your bills so that you do not have to contribute to your own retirement or healthcare.

Say what you want about unions, but I support employment contracts and think they need to be negotiated in all cases- forget this at-will garbage. Management has them, union workers have them, why not individuals?

Industry has their own powerful unions. They are called lobbies. They make contributions and try to influence legislation that will enhance their bottom line, many of them with large government contracts. Why no qualms about them?

Is that the point of any posts made so far? You really do not want to know how I feel about bought legislation, nor my views on lobbyists in general. Our government should not be fore sale by anyone, any monied interest I found that bought legislation would be guilty of treason as would the congressperson who accepted the money, and summarily shot. and this is the pg-13 version Explain to me exactly why 1/3 of government need unions.
