Just because someone is unfaithful to their spouse does not mean that they will not be good at their jobs.
i would agree if his job was digging holes, as opposed to trolling for them.
he has a position of trust and he has proven to us, his wife, and the world, that he is not trust worthy, sponge worthy........ maybe to some, i supposed, but not trust worthy.

50 minutes to go before Weiner has his goodbyes.....hope he doesn't have his wife by his side that would be cruel and unusual punishment IMHO

Clearly, power is an aphrodisiac for many women, because Weiner looks a lot like Gollum from Lord of the Rings.
Pity for his wife, she's a beautiful woman and seems to be decent, now saddled with a loser pig for a husband and a child on the way who may or may not have a daddy in the picture...

No, because we're all a bunch of perverts who don't think sexting is all that weird or uncommon. I don't care what anyone does in their personal life. Where he went wrong IMHO is lying about it and trying to cover it up. If he stood up and said, "I did it but I broke no laws" I would have been fine with it....it would have been between him and his wife. I feel the same way. His personal life / values may be an issue for his constituents to consider in the event he makes them public; but when in his official capacity as a Member of the United States House of Representatives slanders a private citizen, the man has to go.

MSNBC probably is preparing an offer for Weiner to join them as a replacement for Ed Schultz whose TV audience is leaving him

I think that's what many of us have said, paul. The fact he would lie, and blame an innocent person for his own misdeeds speaks directly to the integrity of Weiner. It's non-existent. That's where the problem really is.

I agree...I don't think he is attractive at all...and his "package" was nothing to brag about. I feel bad for his wife and unborn child....to be forever tied to Weinergate would be horrible.

That's where the problem really is. You wouldn't know that from watching the media coverage. They are intentially burying the fact that Weiner knowingly and illegally slandered a private citizen on national television. Instead, the media is focusing on the salacious aspect of the incident, because they know people will forget about that shortly and Weiner will have another chance at gaining power in the future. In the meantime, his real, and much more serious character flaw is being ignored...

I expect he will show up soon in some public job. Too ugly to be a porn star, but someone will hire him. Maybe he can start his own strip club, call it Notorious.. Maybe now we can try to figure out what bad things the gov't has been up to since Weinerman stole the media..

Is Ron Jeremy a porn star? If so, no, I don't watch porn. I just assume the stars must be good looking. My bad???

he doesn't have to go, but he should, either by his own doing or the doing of his constituency. we can't continue to have flawed people making long term country decisions, as the decisions they make are most likely flawed as well.

So, a person that goes before "God and these witnesses" and makes a vow, and breaks that vow will in contrast never break a vow to "Support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help me God"?
I disagree.
But that's for his constituents to decide. In the event he is also unfaithful to other vows, then it becomes our business. When he slanders a private citizen in his capacity as a member of the United States House of Representatives...that is our business.

paul- he did! he proclaimed a criminal act took place. i know he was not under oath, but he was on live tv while making this proclamation. this was the 3nd 'bad act', and that for me is enough.
3 strikes........ 1) cheat on his wife 2) show the weiner weeny 3) proclaim a criminal act ........and where i come from, that is considered an OUT!
