Ok, so here is Pepperdoo's Ghee recipe, but the thread I found it on didn't say what it was used for...So, here it is, and I'll add stuff when I find it

Here's the Ghee instructions: Melt 1, 2 or 3 pounds of butter in a heavy bottomed saucepan over medium low heat, and gently bring to a soft boil. As the butter boils, the milk solids will sink to the bottom of the pan. Stir the butter gently and you will begin to see the milk solids begin to brown. Do not try to rush this process or the milk solids will burn. When the solids turn a medium brown the butter will boil a second time, this is when you will know it is done. Strain out the brown milk solids through several layers of cheese cloth and store in a clean glass jar. Ghee can be stored in a cool dry place or in the refrigerator.
