it's not one of my side effects. But I've never had really bad acne. I do have a zit on a check bone that comes back every couple of months, hangs around for 2-3 weeks and goes away for another couple of months. I actually am calmer this time round on it, which is why I think I may be on it forever. My yelling at home is down by probably 75%.I feel you. I've been feeling a lot better since I've been on it and well, since I stopped drinking. That helped, although right now I could really lose myself in a vat of wine. I just realized that my failed home waxing attempt could be a cause of the zits. Thought I'd try it and failed miserably. Shit would NOT come off my face and the oil probably clogged it up. I suck at beauty. Look into Silk'n. Totally worth the $$$.

I had to hide some friends and family on FB because I cannot tolerate their holier than thou political views as if their opinion is the only correct one. If anyone disagrees with them, they go full-on ballistic. Since I have no desire to argue with people online or in person, I can ignore the tirades and still interact with the family friendly posts.

And she's blocked. DH thinks I am a bitch for not caring that I just cut a family member out of my life, because as vengeful and petty as she is, this is for life. But if we weren't related I wouldn't have ever wanted a relationship with someone that mean, so why should I kiss up to her at Christmas just because we share ancestors?
Ok, maybe someone really does need to put me in a padded room. I am hella pissy today.

I can't wait to see how pissed DH is tonight because I am supposed to be "nice". Ehh. Fuck that. I missed this one, so i went back to read it. She's awfully special. And really incapable of seeing anythign from another's viewpoint.

Aww, poor K. I hope she feels better soon, Beth. C had a migraine on our camping trip last week. We're hoping it was altitude sickness, but he's been getting more and more headaches lately. They're really one of the worst things to have since nothing seems to help, and I just hate to see kids with them.

Thanks. We spent over 4 hours at the ER. Part of her treatment was benadryl so she napped some at the hospital.
She's better now. We got home, ate soup and took a 2 hour nap.

Benadryl and raglan combo? I had that for migraines a couple times. It's effective for me and much less disruptive than say, a syringe of morphine. I'm sorry she's going through this - migraines suck!

Toro-something and comp-something. One was for pain and the other is the antimed
We're going to follow up with our doctor and see what we should do next time, to try and avoid the ER. I'm assuming this is not a one and done situation.
K is still sleeping. Which is good because she didn't sleep much last night.

I have no idea what they do for kids, but I'm happy to discuss what worked for me when i had that migraine spree last summer if that would be helpful. Regarding one and done: maybe yes, but probably you're right and she will have them more than once. A one and done would usually be an identifiable cause like dehydration or altitude. A lot of migraines are hormonal, so she might be in for a rough go as her hormones surge in puberty. The good news is there is a wide variety of medications available to treat migraine symptoms and even prevent them.

Just throwing it out there...I've been dealing with migraines for a decade and was put on daily meds almost immediately. Randomly got tested for allergies about three years ago and my amount of migraines plummeted. I'm no longer on daily meds.
I had none of the traditional allergy symptoms but none of the neuro, urgent care, or er drs ever suggested allergies could be the main culprit. So I'd suggest checking that if the unfortunate happens and they continue.

Hugs, Beth. I had to put DD on BC at 15 because her headaches were so bad, but they wouldn't call them migraines. She is now a month shy of 20 and is still dealing with them, but they come and go. Best of luck, hopefully you can get them under control.

If so, I could use a nice soft padded room for a few days, weeks, or maybe months.

It feels like the Tylenol we gave K around 7 was been steadily working. Her pain levels keep on going down. Her chattiness is going up.
We've finally been seen. This round was ibuprofen and Zofran but no IV.
We're waiting for the supervising doctor to come in and double check. Then hopefully home. K and I never got dinner.

Wisconsin Beth, it is so hard when our kids are hurting and there is nothing you can do to ease their pain, no matter how hold they are. Hoping that K feels better and you both get some rest today.

K is mostly back to normal. Sleep deprived a bit because we didn't get to bed until 2am. I gave her kid Tylenol at 830.
She's chattering away at dh while they make muffins from a mix. I took some Tylenol and figure I can hide for about 30 more minutes.
