Tainted Love is my favorite 80s song. Although I love the original, I think that Rihanna did a good job when she sampled it. I hope this song is now stuck in your head. ;D

let's see...I love Cake's version of I Will Survive. Didn't care for the original (except watching the guys dance to it in The Replacements). I like Nick Lowe AND Letters to Cleo singing Cruel to be kind (both versions are on my MP3). In the Tom Petty documentary, the band sang Hank Williams Sr's Lost Highway...they sounded GREAT! I wish the song was available for download.

I thought The Fine Young Cannibals' "Suspicious Minds" (with Jimmy Somerville) was brilliant, and Yellow Magic Orchestra's loyal cover of "Hello Goodbye" consistently makes me tingle, which the original Beatles recording never did. Some are good and some are bad. Creed's version of "Riders on the Storm" was great, while Sheryl Crow's remake of "Sweet Child 'O Mine" sucked out loud.

I'm well giving my age away here folks, but this is the original version of Unchained Melody. Recorded by Brit singer Jimmy Young in 1955. I wonder how many folks over here even know him. This is him at the age of 90. He will be 91 this coming September.
