Thanks for the info. I am hoping that we are able to close this Friday with the original buyer, who the Realtor brought to us. Again, he even got us more money than we were asking. So for that I am grateful.

Or they could be like my husband and I who bought our home with a VA loan so that we wouldn't have to put a down payment down so that we could instead use $50K of our $120K (of cash reserves) to do the remodels that we wanted on the house. Just because someone doesn't put a down payment on a house, doesn't mean they don't have the money to do so. Unless you have access to their entire financial portfolio, you have no idea why someone choses to do what they do. And as just the seller of the property, you wouldn't have access to that. And just because we're military, doesn't mean we are stupid and incapable of saving money. People in the military are NO different then the overall population of this country. Some are good with money, and some are not. Oh yeah, we also have 4 vehicles (2 convertible V8 sports cars), that we drive up to our home we bought with no down payment. Of course we have no car payments....only mortgage debt in this military home.
