I don't know a lot about the vaccine or reinfection. I was wondering, if someone has HAD covid, will they also get the vaccine or do they have some presumptive immunity? I have heard they think immunity only lasts a few months.

I have heard they think immunity only lasts a few months. You would think with millions of Americans , and even more millions around the world, there would be some well documented cases of someone getting sick twice. I think we only have positive tests twice. I have real doubts in the testing. Unless someone gets sick, tests positive, recovers, test negative and then gets sick and tests positive again - and that happens a bunch of times, I'm not convinced. Maybe there will be proof that you can get it, recover and then later be an asymptomatic carrier. But right now, I am having trouble believing any of the theories. Easy for me as it doesn't change how I interact with the world.

Lifelong immunity to the other human coronaviruses does not occur. If we develop long lasting immunity to this one, it would be unique. Not enough time has passed to believe that durable immunity occurs. To act Based on other facts would be irresponsible. We would need years to know anything differently
