We need bonds to cover the deficit? Weren't we told/assured that those tax cuts were going to pay for that?

Oh come on, it's a nice low cost way for taxpayers to pay for the tax cuts that other people/business gets. It's a win-win.
I especially like that perhaps pension funds will buy these bonds because they are a safe investment. Another win-win. The government gets money AND pension funds (and pensioners) will benefit as well! Win Win Win!! Go Trump! Go GOP!

It’s going to be a hard landing once people/countries quit considering these bonds a “safe” investment.

Well, "Who the hell cares about our budget?" Clearly, not Trump.

He and putin apparently have a plan, sounds like he is trying to sell his stuff in NY Probably converting all his Russian money into gold and maybe some rubles? He will have a haven to go to or he thinks he does. Once his usefulness is done, they likely won't keep him around. You know china and Russia are buying gold by the tons to back their currency, even other nations are. Just remember the bigger they are the harder they fall and that is us. It' scares me. We don't have a lot of years left but my son and our grandson will likely never see the country we did.
It's hard to believe he is bringing this country to its knees in 3 short years. Took hundreds of years for us to build up and 3 years to destroy it. I'm just sick over it. His low paying jobs won't do a lot for the people.

So where is all this money that other countries are starting to pay going? The supposed 1 billion that Saudi is paying for our military, the money from China pouring in from tariffs (yeah, I know...but the kool aid drinkers keep bring it up). We're apparently, at least according to the resident, rolling in cash pouring in from the world finally paying America for...well "everything". So who's getting that cash?

It's pennies compared to what he is adding in debt daily. We are so screwed.

He may bring this country to it's knees, but we can certainly stand once again. We have a highly skilled population with an innovative cultural bent, and we are sitting on underpopulated land (from sea to shining sea!) with the greatest allocation of natural resources in the world. Unless we allow it, we should not be bowed. Yes the debt is a crushing burden, and we are horribly divided amongst ourselves (driven on too btw, by this horrid president) but we CAN overcome the challenges. It starts by kicking trump to the curb in 2020. our declining faith in science is going to kill that. we were once the most innovative nation on Earth.
we need to get that back. but in order to do that, we need to get religion out of politics.

Woo hoo! That didn't take long... more Tax Cuts and an even bigger deficit!! good thing they are issuing all those bonds. Go! Trump! Go! Make America Great!! www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/white-house-has-started-work-on-second-round-of-tax-cuts-to-boost-growth-mnuchin-says/ar-BBZfM31(is it my imagination or is this starting to look like a Bubble that will pop?? Shouldn't the government be paying down debt and increasing savings while times are good? Why are they 'spending' more than they have when times are so good and they should be rolling in money?? There isn't enough money so they are "borrowing" more?? How is that not a bubble? )
