Yes. It is being manipulated by comments such as that. Whenever he needs to deflect negative publicity from himself he touts some big event, such as a huge trade deal. The market pops for a while then goes back down. It would be better for the market if he would just stop f****** with it.

You can make more money on the bigger differential.
Really can't complain.

Sure I can. GF and I were both going to do six-figure buys this morning. Cost us a couple thousand dollars or more each.

Ongoing as of today... Quote; Washington and Beijing struck a partial agreement, which involves relief of some U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods and more Chinese purchases of American agricultural products. The Trump administration also said it includes enforceable changes related to intellectual property and technology transfers — two priorities for the White Housewww.cnbc.com/2019/12/13/timeline-of-trump-china-trade-war-and-trade-deal.html Seems a little quiet on this today, around here.

Indexing any major should of done it for you. I was absolutely buying in March, 2009. In fact I celebrated Obama's inauguration by making that year's Roth contribution on that day in January, 2009. I've been 100% equities for over 30 years. My big buy now was subsequent to a large Roth conversion where I had to sell first. Had been hoping for a two-day drop to take advantage. Didn't get it. Oh well. And I hope you don't mind but it's "should have" rather than "should of."

So in October President Trump announced a partial phase one trade agreement that was never signed and now in December he announces a phase one agreement which might or might not make it to the signing stage. February should bring us an announcement of a super-sized phase one agreement.

As one farmer said...I'll believe it when the grain is purchased, on a ship & headed to China & has been paid for. Until then...words & signatures don't mean a lot to many affected by this whole mess.

And I hope you don't mind but it's "should have" rather than "should of." Don't mind at all. I ceased operations and have been retired since 43 years old. (2000) I don't think that grammar would of made a difference. I indexed the Dow with $8.2 million that March in 2009. It was what I had free at the time. Sold it all within a half year after Trump got in. When everyone starts saying how great everything is, I usually get out. I could of stayed in going by today's hindsight, but thought we had nearly topped out at the time. The last thing I would of ever done, is buy in now, with the market trading near record highs. I could of done better selling some of the treasuries back then, but I do like the diversity.
