Supposedly , per his lawyers, he had complained about many safety concerns...reported to fellow workers about floor moving under him, recently...has been working construction in Las Vegas 17 years...been fighting ISE for years...was supposed to have another hearing soon..lawyers are saying his complaints led to his quick deportation...ISS spokes person not the case... Naturally if they say no connection...there is no connection, right? Just one of coincidences of quick deportation ...he is also part of law suit against the construction company.. ------------------------------------------------------- "After spending weeks at an ICE staging facility in Alexandria, Louisiana, Palma was put on a Friday morning deportation flight to Honduras, ICE spokesman Bryan Cox confirmed to The Washington Post on Saturday. Cox called claims that Palma was targeted for speaking out about the conditions at the construction site "false" and "wildly irresponsible."
Sure it was.....ICE said it so , so it's got to be true... …..

from the article he was fighting deportation from 2016. Maybe this should take less than three years to be decided. Time for some swift justice in immigration cases, then you would not have any claim, it was to hide conditions. he complained about. Talk about

Talk about So he has a hearing set up ...his LEGAL rights by the way...{whether u believe in doing things legaly or not...me? I am for it, otherwise we revert to unlawlessness .. .It's not as if immigration was unaware of this guy...been on the radar for 16 years so there must have been some merit to his case wouldn't u say...otherwise he would have been gone a long time ago....and now, suddenly , when it seems there is some upper management possible faults here...two workers dead...even if they may not have been legal...also many, many workers injured...same with the legal issue...a prime witness and possible a pain in the butt is deported.... The government immigration guru on the scene says deportation timing just one of those things...and your saying "just believe him".. Sure I will......

Fact is the cases are not that involved and most cases, say 95% should be done in nine months or less, including ones in favor of the immigrant.

Fact is the cases are not that involved and most cases, say 95% should be done in nine months or less, including ones in favor of the immigrant. but they don't have enough judges, lawyers, clerks, etc. to do it. Believe it or not, most judges and courts want to do their jobs and resolve cases. And, actually, I get paid less if courts are efficient with no backup, the case is swiftly deposed of. I show up for a first hearing and a final hearing, and I have efficient and productive conversations with the government attorney. Think of all the fees that are racked up while a case is pending for 3 years. How many times to I talk to the government lawyer? How many times to I talk to my client? How many status appearances do I make? Hint, it's a lot less over 9 months than 3 years.

Without commenting on the time it takes to handle a the deportation case I really think that we are off on the wrong track. This little fact should really worry us: "Palma, who worked construction in New Orleans for 17 years, had repeatedly reported safety issues at the Hard Rock site to supervisors and was always told to go back to work, according to his lawyers, who helped him file a complaint with the Labor Department."
The relevant question here should be is someone here trying to remove witnesses in the inevitable legal fight this collapse will trigger? People have died and others have been wounded and the first reaction is to deport someone who filed a complaint about the safety at the building site. Something is rotten in the state of Louisiana...

Regarding legal fees...most of these clients have few financial resources...lots of pro forma going on regarding legal fees I am thinking. Your a legal immigration lawyer? You know the above for a fact? Links? Just asking...
