I didn't go anywhere near a brick & mortar store on Friday, except for my Aldi which has an incredible Canadian ice wine for $12.99 which is super reasonable. We'll go back tomorrow for 5-6 bottles. Online I got 15% off and free shipping for my fridge water filters, and 25% off the new instant read thermometer I've been dying for (if I had that, my turkey thighs wouldn't have resembled dimpled hockey pucks). The thermometer is my Christmas gift. DH wants a new felt hat, Lyndon Johnson style "rancher" Stetson for Christmas, and that never goes on sale.

My daughter used to LOVE Hot Topic, @bamafan1954! They sold all of the trendy stuff, like Harry Potter, Hello Kitty, superheroes stuff, etc. I just need to get one more gift, and frankly, my shopping was done before Black Friday. I use the internet over the Black Friday weekend to buy stuff for me, DH, DS & the house, because if you check around, there are a lot of great deals on clothes, etc., for 50% off, and sometimes better than that. So, although the scorekeepers call it "Christmas shopping", it really isn't at our house. It's just the time of year to get some great deals on everyday stuff.

In fact, I was putting $100 a month into a Christmas Club account (9 grandkids, remember, with one of them having a late November birthday and another an early January birthday) and upped it to $125 a month just so that there was some extra $$$ to buy "presents" for me.

I’ve been “shopping” since Wednesday. And I started off so good! Constantly checking my e-mail to see who had what kind of sale.... ooohhhing and aaahhhing over this and that, even adding things to carts, but not actually buying anything.
Thursday evening, I bought something from Bath and Bodyworks. Mind you, in recent years, I’ve been all about natural soaps and body butters, so I’m not sure how I ended up buying stuff from Bath and Bodyworks.
I don’t think I bought anything Friday. Dear Lord, if I did, I’ve wiped it from my memory because I knew I was being ridiculous. Yesterday, I saw that Nike had a sale. Oops, there went $100. I’ve been looking for some hoodies to wear to work, since I seem to have outgrown most of the ones I already have. And here they were, on sale.
Last night, Bath and Bodyworks had a different sale, and somehow I bought some more stuff that I’m not even suppose to be using. If I buy any more lotion or body wash over the next year, please send me to the corner for a time out. And pinch me.
Then today I stumbled upon Victoria’s Secret website. They had sales and offer codes. I desperately need some bras because I’ve outgrown those too..... some of them, ridiculously so. But I didn’t know what size I need, or even what size I had on today, which halfway fit. So, what did I do? I bought some lounge wear and pj’s instead, since I’ve outgrown all that too, and I can’t exactly walk around nekkid when DBF’s kids are here every day. There went another $130.
I think that’s it. But tomorrow is Cyber Monday. Ugh! And my birthday is coming up (which is how I justified most of the stuff I’ve bought already), so I’m getting “Happy Birthday.... Just for You” e-mails and there’s still stuff that I “need”. When what I really “need” is to stop gaining weight dammit.
Notice I didn’t mention buying not one damn gift for anybody, although I did buy something small for DBF from Nike.
I still haven’t set foot in a brick and mortar store, and don’t plan to anytime soon. Just throw the whole internet away since I feel like a train wreck in the making.

Kids: "I'm first because I'm the oldest!" "You always get to be first!" "I always have to be last! I wanna be first this time!" Dad: "You kids quit bickering or that damned thing is going in the trash and NOBODY will play with it." Auntie Empress: "Okay, I was just teasing. I have two more pianos and a drum set in the car. Hang on. I'll get them." Anybody want a tuba? They're 3. The tuba would squish them. I'd give them my trumpet, if anything. I am actually considering picking up one of those pianos you can jump on to play, like in the movie "Big" but a little smaller. They are also getting Chinese language books.

Okay. No tuba. But you have a trumpet? Aces! Only three fingers needed, and it's really all in the embrasure anyway. That should be ein Stueck Kuchen, and there's a one in three chance you can produce another Wynton Marsalis. Reckon three years old is too young to start?
Had to Google the piano because I didn't remember it. Geez. How could I forget the piano? Seriously, I bet they'd have fun with it. Will it make you persona non grata though?
I wish my magic wand could make the g'kids little again just for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

It shouldn't. BIL told me to get them a piano. He just wasn't specific so that's all on him

I had to breakdown a bunch of boxes today. Some of the stuff I ordered before Black Friday from sales that started early. Some of the items were Christmas gifts for DH.
The Victoria Secret's sale got me too today. $102 later for new bras and yoga pants. I ordered hoodies from Under Armour earlier because they finally went back to the old style. I hate the mile of material scrunched up by neck.
I might tell DH some if it can be presents for me. He has no idea what to buy.

It wasn't a Black Friday special but I changed our phone plans today. We all get unlimited texting, unlimited calls anywhere in Canada and 10Gb of high speed data. If you go over the data plan, data just slows down. DH and I likely won't use that much but DD might. DH's and my plans each get $15 more expensive but DD's plan gets $35 less so we're ahead. DD got a new IPhone as part of the deal. I paid the taxes as her Christmas present. She has to pay me the monthly fee for the phone or we swap phones. We'll see how it goes.

umm I've been buying more too. I just bought 3 nest protect smoke/co2 detectors, and I got one of my boyfriend's gifts which is a work bench from home depot. I'm also going to buy the dishwasher I've been eyeing from home depot and maybe a couple of ceiling fans.

We bought exactly what was listed on the what is on your wish list thread. ROKU Soundbar, Apple Watch, plus some children’s books, a couple gaming items, a doll and accessories, a board game, and some pajamas. We spent $681 on Thurs/Fri.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday gone. I'm gonna cave next Monday, Tuft & Needle does 15% off again, and I'm going to get two king-size pillows for DD and DSIL. They kill pillows on a regular basis, like a couple of times a year. The pillows are pricey, but they are great and will last forfreakingever.
Last summer there was a T&N ad on FB, and I commented that I could be pressured into giving up my chocolate and my first born, but not my T&N mattress. Next thing I knew, T&N messaged me and asked if they could use my comment in their advertising. Sure. They sent a release for me to sign, which I did, and was rewarded with T&N pillows.

I got a new phone, FireTV stick, $120 worth of toys, then another $60 in toys, $55 for 4 pairs of pants, and a Roku. I wanted to get a museum membership for myself and sister but refrained. I'll probably still get them at some point, it was only $5-20 off depending on membership levels.

Boots for me and Gwen I like to pounce on the $19 JCP boot deal to replace worn pairs. Coloring books for my mom and some books for the kids. Abby got mom a stuffed Olaf. That was Barnes and Noble. Finished my Shutterfly order got 50% off that. Then some new clothes and bras. I finally found a bra brand that fits and I wanted two more so I can rotate and hopefully not have them fall apart like every VS bra I've ever bought. Yo, the True bra collection at Target is the best. I’ll check them out

Yeah that. With everything I've bought, none of it was at a brick and mortar store. I went into nordstrom rack yesterday. Found a jacket for DS, saw the line, put it back and walked out You can buy online
