That's what happens when those who understand nothing about medicine, or science, make laws. I've never heard of one single pregnancy being "completed" after an ectopic pregnancy. And if you do nothing, the mother dies. We have a small group of idiots in charge of our country right now.

You've never heard of it because it can't be done. It's medically impossible.

Any legislator who votes for such a bill should be charged with attempted murder. If passed, women (and girls) will die as doctors diagnosing an ectopic pregnancy dither about what to do.

More proof that the war on women is real (as if any more proof was needed).

What if they created a process where they put a small clump of cells in the uterus, and if it didn't survive, it wouldn't be the doctor's nor the woman's fault?
Either that, or let's take this one to the lowest possible court that can decide that this law is utter bullshit.

Too bad those legislators can't be charged with murder for killing logic and common sense.

If the medical community can figure out how to re-implant an ectopic pregnancy, maybe the fetus can be implanted into the sperm donor, and let the father carry it to term.

Or maybe every so-called “prolifer” will line up to have it implanted inside them I'm still waiting for them to adopt babies with disabilities, or homeless teens. Not gonna happen. It's the typical "do as I say, not as I do".

She asked for money to "go visit a friend" and they gave it to her, because they knew once she crossed state lines they could declare her a runaway and sever responsibility. They have not taken in another foster child.

Are they INSANE? That's what happens when you have an anti-science government, I guess.

Why wait until the medical community figures this out? I would say put the "ectopic baby" in a rinsed out sandwich baggy and implant it in the legislators who voted fot this? It would have the same chance of success as their proposal. And if they don't even need to think about what is possible why should anyone else? True believer should be all for this approach (the idiots)

I would have been willing to do this if my wife had had an ectopic pregnancy. As Bills implies, there would be many couples who would gladly have the ectopic embryo placed safely in the uterus. But such a medical procedure isn't possible yet. Thus this ranks as one of the stupidest bills I've ever heard of.

That is legal. bill, once the fertilized egg, or embryo, or zygote has implanted somewhere, it will not implant anywhere else. Maybe we should have pointed this out earlier instead of just dumping sarcasm on a really bad idea.

(Not positive it is but if this is addressed to me) The story linked in the OP which I did check out before commenting did indicate that the procedure was not medically possible. The comment I responded to was not sarcasm in regards to the bill but was an unfair negative attack directed at the male half of the pregnancy equation.

I know. I am trying to find a "loop hole" so no one will get thrown in jail. Double bonus, some private company can make some money on storage fees or something.

The comment I responded to was not sarcasm in regards to the bill but was an unfair negative attack directed at the male half of the pregnancy equation. Yes, it was directed at you, but I also meant it tenderly. This type of seedling does not transplant well at all. If you garden, you are familiar with the concept of a plant best grown by direct seeding into the ground that just doesn't take to transplantation because the roots are just too tender, too finicky, too prone to rot if damaged, or just incapable of growing after an initial growth spurt.
Human embryos have the same quality. Once implanted inside the body, even in the most unfortunate places, they just can't be transplanted. Once the taproot is broken or damaged, it cannot re-grow no matter how ideal the site is.
I think that even trying is an obscenity, especially given the risk of infection.
I'm sorry for all of the transitions that I skipped and the sarcastic misandry that I indulged in. I got careless. I thought that everyone knew that some sprouts just don't make it, just can't make it.

This reminds me of a bill talked about several years ago. Can't remember where.
Fathers not allowed to change diapers because of cleaning baby's genitals. I think it got laughed out of committee.
Can't fix stupid

Can't fix stupid Yet you have, on numerous occasions, have stated you were opposed to Hillary because of “judges”. So who will be upholding these ‘laws’ when they get challenged in court? Can’t fix stupid indeed.
