Any current hope that Iran will behave appropriately was thrown out the window when Trump abrogated the treaty position of the US. This empowered the hardliners and you can see what that has wrought.
Because the Repo-Cons have wanted war on Iran for many years, I consider that Trumpian stupidity to be a step towards fomenting that conflict.

I wonder if OC believes the U.S. would send Iran an Iranian court ordered $180 million as a result of the U.S. holding seven of their now released citizens (as mentioned in the linked article).
Do you think the U.S. would pay, OC?

That must be a bill sent by the administration(current) after declining the permits for a new Tower in Tehran!😂

Do US courts have jurisdiction over foreign countries? Unless said foreign countries become an integral part of US as in state or territory of the USA then no! It makes me laugh at the arrogance of the decision!

Hmmm, I thought we admitted that we did that and they were paid for it.

$61.8 million. We still owe them for assassinating Mosedegh and putting the fascist Shah and Savak in power. Of course this directly led to the revolution.

How about the parents of Otto Frederick Warmbier that was turned into a vegetable by North Korea, and their lawsuit that was won. You don’t seem to understand that the United States as a country doesn’t have jurisdiction over other countries that are sovereign and independent! What would the US do if the Iraqi families would sue in the Iraqi courts for the over 100,000 civilians that died since the war started and they won the lawsuit? This is why the Geneva Convention was created- for international disputes! The US is not the lawmaker of the world, is not even the trend setter anymore! Let it be understood that being American doesn’t make you superior or gives you the right to order people around!
