I've seen a Listerine mouthwash commercial a few times and at the end of the commercial, the announcer pitches what must be a new product of theirs, called Ready Tabs, which look like portable mouthwash mints, and says, "they make great stocking stuffers." Who has the cojones to put those in someone's holiday stocking? Why would anyone want to say to a loved one, "Ho, ho,Ho and hey, you rock, Uncle Al, but your breath smells like a dead possum. Fix that, wouldya?"
I think if hygiene stuff like toothbrushes and razors are typically in stockings people wouldn't think twice. Teens and young adults would probably love them. People that actually need them probably would get offended though.

DS got a used football in his stocking one year.
He was 7 and I think he was trying to find out if Santa Claus was real. He wrote a letter to Santa asking him to get his football that was stuck on the roof while he was up there. SC listened 😉
