Someone really needs to take Trump's phone away.
He made a phone call on his cell phone to someone (Sonderland, I think) when he was in the Ukraine - where one intelligence expert said Russia is linked into and eavesdropping on all means of communication used by significant targets (like the EU Ambassador).
That by itself is a security violation - even worse than the infamous 'sending emails over a private email server' Clinton stink fest.
Can you supply a link to this? I don't know about a link because I'm too lazy to look, but the talking heads were discussing it all night last night on various shows.

Thank you. I wondered about this because I heard a different version yesterday. It was not the President who made the cellphone call. From your link: Washington (CNN)US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland's cell phone call to President Donald Trump from a restaurant in Ukraine this summer appears to be a shocking security breach that raises significant counterintelligence concerns, according to several former officials, who told CNN there is a high probability that intelligence agencies from numerous foreign countries, including Russia, were listening in on the conversation.

Thank you, though. Business must be bad this week! I did my homework yesterday. I heard the exact opposite report about the cellphone, and now we know who was on the cellphone spelling his guts to the Russians. The Embassador on a luncheon call from the restaurant.

Yovanovitch gets standing ovation at the end of 5-hour hearing Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, received a standing ovation on Friday at the conclusion of her more than five hours of testimony before the House Intelligence Committee. Republicans and Democrats alike had praised Yovanovitch's distinguished service as a diplomat during the inquiry, although President Trump's allies had additionally sought to paint the hearing as part of their opponents' "Watergate fantasies." link

So....who made the cellphone call from an unnacceptable nonprotected business establishment to the President potentially allowing foreign agents or even possibly CNN listen in on the call and why? Here you go.
Ambassador's cellphone call to Trump from Kyiv restaurant was a stunning breach of security, former officials said.
It's that conversation where Taylor's staff could over hear President on the phone asking Sonderland about the 'investigations' - it's come up once or twice in the impeachment hearings.
It was also noteworthy in that ambassadors typically don’t just pick up the phone and call presidents. “They never do so to discuss Ukraine policy,” former U.S. ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul said in a tweet. “Doing so on a cellphone from Kyiv means [the] whole world was listening in.”
www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/ambassadors-cellphone-call-to-trump-from-kyiv-restaurant-was-a-stunning-breach-of-security-former-officials-say/ar-BBWIh4E
Now - your turn to explain why Hillary needed to go to jail for using her private server to send some emails that later ended up being classified confidential, but not a single GOP congressperson has raised an eyebrow (at least not to my knowledge) about Trump and his major donor having a sensitive discussion on cell phones in the Ukraine?

Even a couple of GOP congresspeople objected to what Trump tweeted.
But Trump himself claimed said 'I don't think so at all' when a reporter asked him if he was trying to intimidate her with his tweet.

He has a disconnect that makes him unable to step outside himself and consider how he would feel if he was on the receiving end of one of his shitty tweets. I've run into some other people like that in my professional life, they are always surprised when someone gets offended or has their feelings hurt by something they said. They're hard people to work with, impossible to be married to, and should never, ever be president, IMHO.

Thank you, though. You may be playing a game of one upping another, however, for most of us here, the interactions here are just a way to interact, in this area, the politics of the country, with each others thoughts and impressions...So to help another is just common sense...Just saying.

I don't see why her testimony is so important, From her own words, she was upset that the two leaders of those countries were dissing her! Wow, this testimony is proof positive of the old saying about a"woman scorned"
from the White House, I couldn't agree more!
“It is difficult to imagine a greater waste of time than today’s hearing, and yet unfortunately we expect more of the same partisan political theater next week from House Democrats,”
Is there any one that has first hand knowledge or is not biased?? I can see the Democrats 2020 Election moto,,,Hearsay is better than the real thing!! or The proof is right there in the hearsay!!

Then Trump should let the people with first hand knowledge testify.

every right has limitations.
EVERY.
Just noting on who wants the which limitations and where. If they used their brains for anything beside kneejerk reaction, it should be the Repubs that would clamor to get the man to shut up. This starts to look like a court case where a defense lawyer says "the police dug up the entire backyard of the defendant 3ft deep and haven't been able to find the murder weapon" and then the defendant gets up and shouts "yeah, thise lazy bums will never find the weapon. I put it six foot under". And that, is the level of control the man on the golden throne is displaying with his stupid tweets...

I guess GOP'ers need to be reminded that Linda Tripp's testimony was hearsay. Remember her? Clinton was impeached in part because of her "hearsay" testimony.
How soon they forget (intentionally forget because it doesn't fit their narrative).

She was upset because her boss, the president, was talking shit about her on twitter - someone who has worked for years for for the State department trying to advance American interests abroad, and who was well respected by her colleagues.
Not everything is partisan Dem or GOP. Somethings are just right or wrong.
As for there being no direct evidence, only hearsay - you need to stop taking your talking points from Fox. There are at least two direct witnesses who heard the president on a talking to the EU ambassador about the investigation of the Bidens. Two non partisan, a political state department employees.
Admit that you don't care about the evidence, you will never think Trump has ever done anything wrong because you are a strictly partisan voter.

Yea, kinda disheartening when all you have ever done is work for the government, realize that in the real world,, you won't be able to get a job. Non partisan, You mean like PeterStrzok, Lisa Page!! Like their political views would never effect their job!

Of course she’ll be able to find employment.
And why do you support the elimination of 1st amendment rights for FBI agents?

1. As she stated herself in her testimony (for those w/o cable & didn't watch & choose not to read a fucking thing) an ambassador can be relieved of duty at the President's pleasure, why was it necessary to smear her & her career in the process? Especially when you notice that all the Republicans who questioned her thanked her for her service & praised her for the job she had done for multiple Presidents. So why the need to smear her? There was none other than the resident in the white house is a raging dick.
2. She already has a job. It was mentioned, again, in the testimony & by several who asked her questions. One just had to PAY FUCKING ATTENTION to know this. She has a fellowship at Georgetown University. Diplomat in residence.
willfully & intentionally ignorant that's the hallmark of the GOP base.

Like their political views would never effect their job! She was re-assigned, NOT fired, and she's also working as a university professor.
Because she's had an exemplary career.
This is also why she got a standing ovation - from both the dems and the GOP members of the House - after she finished 5 hours of testimony.
I've explained this to you in the past, but it didn't stick. I'll try one more time - government employees are allowed to express partisan comments in private (or in emails to friends) but they are required to work in a nonpartisian manner - they must work in the best interest of Americans (All Americans). Pretty much all the people testifying at this hearing have worked for the state department for decades, for both GOP and Dem presidents. Past presidents did not demand that 100% of the federal government employees quit so he could hire people who would toady to him and push forward his illegal agenda.

Yes, why do the Trump cultists want to eliminate the 1st amendment right to free speech simply because someone works for a government entity? It’s un-American and leaning a bit fascist.

You just don't get it...or u do and if u can't be ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/stirpot.gif) your not doing what u are here for.. "“It is difficult to imagine a greater waste of time than today’s hearing"Actually again as all ways..your wrong. It seems one of the things many of us seem to do is criticize those who work in Government service...except for our military folks... In watching and listening to Madam Ambassador today, I saw a very intelligent 33 year veteran , give in a calm way testimony...no partisan attacks of a dedicated government service ...Showing how we have such high quality folks in government service...equal of praise as those in military uniform. While giving testimony, the POTUS couldn't hold back...criticizing her by tweet..falsly by the way which seems not to bother him or his supporters either.. {You included as demonstrated by this post of yours} and giving short shift to her 33 years careers work and sacrifice..In fact dissing all States Department folks ..his own employees... Great way to make friends and influence people... Actually shows why these hearings are taking place and that the idea of impeachment is being taken up...
