Seem to me that the House should have been working on a plan to keep the DACA kids here. Trump said that it was up to Congress to take care of it. But the House decided to waste all this time and effort to impeach Trump instead! So, if the Supreme Court rules in Trumps favor, it will be because of Trump! sure' Way to go Democrats,, 800,000 of your future voters down the drain!

There's an old saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". DACA was not broke. DACA is a well liked, well supported program. Trump could have just left it alone. But he has to play to his racist base and end it by trying to put it on Congress.
Ending DACA is not going to help the GOP win the growing Hispanic vote. The 2020 political scene will be full of stories of promising near doctors and other promising young people losing their DACA status and being deported. That isn't going to sit well with a majority of Americans who support DACA.

What type of plan would that be? All trump has to do is sign one of his numerous Executive Orders allowing these people to remain in the country. Sounds like a pretty easy fix to me.

People who support DACA aren't going to blame Congress for the thousands of deportations of the best and brightest young people. They are going to blame the guy who went all the way to the SC to end DACA.

having this go to the SCOTUS is good for Democrats.
want me to explain why? I think they win either way.

More willful ignorance. 200+ bills passed in the House that Mitch won't bring to the Senate floor. The Do Nothing Republicans in the Senate have abdicated their responsibilities. There's absolutely 1 part of Congress that isn't doing their jobs, but it's not the Democrat controlled House, it's the Republican controlled Senate.

The next president could be pro-DACA. What's the problem? No, Trump left it up to Congress. The Republican controlled Senate won't bring up the House passed bill. Trump csn sign an Executive Order. Easy peasy.

Actually Congress and trump had a deal all worked out to save DACA a while ago. Trump was backing it until he did an about face and, pandering to his racist base element, scuttled the DACA provision. Congress tried. Trump lied. Now apparently young people will die. I can't say I am surprised or upset at the court if they rule that Trump can scuttle it. In by the EO, out by the EO. (NOTE: I haven't closely looked at the case) But having said that, trump could still just as easily let these worthy people stay as the very productive residents that they are. Exactly the type of young people we want becoming citizens and keeping our population up, nation of immigrants that we ALL are. That he is looking to scuttle it again speaks volumes about just who he is. Who brought the lawsuit?

This brings up another thing, Because Trump is a businessman , everything is a negotiation, If you had given trump his wall, You would have DACA, you would have had immigration reform, and other smaller things,
But no, No wall, No DACA unless Congress does it! My guess is, the Courts will back Trump! Good bye kids, just think all of this could have been avoided ,, if you had given Trump his wall! It is all your fault!!

The wall is a bad solution. It will be expensive and ineffective. It makes no sense to trade one problem for another problem. I am not even convinced the Republicans want the Democrats to agree to their deal. They used to be all about fiscal conservatism. I think they were counting on a solid no from the D's.

they are more likely to become citizens in the absence of DACA, if they are not deported first.
