Well, the most expensive thing on my wish list is new flooring for my house. The stuff the contractor put down is basically junk. Hardwood flooring would be my first choice.
Also, my cell phone is slowly dying, and really should be replaced.

A cello for my 7 year old. He really wants one, I love musical instruments, but it would come with ongoing costs for lessons, since I know nothing about playing the cello, and we'll probably have to get my 9 year old an instrument, too, in order to be fair. He's thinking a clarinet, but I'm not so sure about his enthusiasm. I also don't know how to play that, so more lessons. I have a flute I could start him on, which he could transition to an oboe or sax because the fingering is the same (mostly). I also wouldn't mind getting a digital piano for him, but he no longer is interested in that. There is supposedly a connection between music education and learning math. So even if they don't keep up with it forever, I'd like to give them a good start. You might want to look into renting the instruments first to see how committed your children are to practicing. I know. I've considered it, but there is a big market for used instruments, so you can buy, then subsequently sell, an instrument without being out too much money.

New carpet. 3 rooms and a set of stairs. Really having trouble deciding what I want. Looking toward resale, but carpet is not popular anyway, so not sure if it matters.

Top of my wish list isn't really a four-season porch or a she shed. Top of my wish list is a winning mega millions ticket.

New laptop is all I really want or need. When I retire, I plan to spend more time working from home and a newer, faster version than the 15-year-old version I have would be nice.

New kitchen New tablet as mine won't charge The new kitchen is a very iffy possibility. The new tablet is a definite if I would just start looking. Too many other things going on right now.

Ugh, we're okay on house stuff at the moment. There are things I want, but the property needs more stuff at the moment.
--a few cubic yards of gravel --either re-paint the back deck or put in that Tyvex stuff (is that the word?)

There's a ton of house and property stuff we want. This place was built in 2001 and the previous owners did next to nothing. DH bought it in August 2015. A few things have been done but we need a lot more.
Tops on the list, a new front door and storm door. Should have a quote on this by Thanksgiving. The house has settled and only 1 lock works. Rain gets in the storm door when it rains. Hopefully it's not getting in the siding but that's a problem for the contractor.
Depending on any damage there with the door, the entry way and half bath might get redone at that time.
Inside the house, DH wants to get the remaining carpet taken out and the stairs finished and stained. He tried to do the 5 from the entry way and never got the color right to match our living room hardwood. We've got 1 quote that would be $4k. The contractor quoting the door is supposed to be referring us to their stair guy.
In the kitchen we are looking to get a big floor cabinet to expand storage. I bake a lot and we have stuff we use like the instant pot. Right now we have to haul it downstairs. There's plenty of room in the kitchen. It's large just insufficient storage space. This is likely to happen by Christmas.
In the back yard, we need to fix or replace the deck and do the lighting. Columns went in when the patio was built but we never selected lights and hooked them up. This is a springtime project. DH wants to hire someone, my brother is willing to help us do it. We are likely to do it just because we have been unable to hire it out so far. I'm not spending another summer with no steps off the deck to the patio.
That's the most pressing of the house stuff.
Personally I want a new Fitbit. DH wants a new driver, travel bag for his golf clubs and Under Armour base gear.

We had a LONG list for 2019. We purchased the last item on that list (an oven) last month. I am amazed and very grateful that we managed to do everything on our 2019 list! So I was tempted to say nothing, but my phone is on its way out, so that's on the cards for 2020. Other than that, just trips. We have 2 kids' graduations next year, DS1 in the US in May, and DS3 in the UK in July. We are planning long weekends for both, but we have to see the prices for DS1's. It has to be a long weekend because that's my busy period at work. The UK one is easy because we drive there.
Hopefully a cheap/local summer vacation too (ie nothing nearly as expensive/ambitious as our 3-week trip to the US last summer).

Short Term:
Apple Watch 5: Everyone loves their Apple Watch, but the only thing that's held me back is all the reasons they give don't seem super compelling (don't have to look at phone, can get notifications, etc). I know I'd love it once I got it though, so I need to just pull the trigger.
Airpod Pros: I have regular Airpods that are not noise cancelling. I find myself having to crank the volume when I'm in a crowded area, so I'd rather just have noise cancelling. I think this would be somewhat easy for me to justify for the sake of ear health I was in the Apple store yesterday and tried on some noise cancelling headphones and I was totally blown away by how much they drown everything out.
You stole my list!!!! I just got the new IPhone 11 Max Pro as a birthday gift to myself. I still regret not getting the IPhone 11 Pro because just as I thought the screen is way to big for my comfort... and 1 week later still don’t like how big it is. Apple Watch because I am back into fitness and it is super convenient. But I have not worn a watch in forever, since before I graduated high school and I am 34 now so 15 years. I wonder how long this new “fad” will last for me or I will really enjoy the fitness aspect of it and keep it on. The AirPod pro because while working out, running or just plain using them it would be more convenient; more so I cannot use my regular headphones while charging my phone . Noise cancelling is a pretty good reason but the convenience of not having the cord to be beats that. Only difference : I put those 2 items on my Christmas wish list and since every year my Christmas wish list is only one item : MONEY... I think there is a pretty good chance I will get both or at least one of them for Christmas. If not, I will buy them come January for certain as an early birthday gift to myself from myself!

I plan to buy new phones. I have a hard time making a decision, I almost did this in July, but then decided to wait for Black Friday. Chances are I will get overwhelmed again and make no decision.
I am interested in an Apple Watch too.
I am strongly considering buying a new side by side refrigerator. If I do this I may also buy a new dishwasher. I like my stove, I would be black and the other appliances are Slate Black...but I am considering putting off the stove replacement of the stove. Will decide after I go to Home Depot and Lowes.
I also have decided I want a new car. The car I am driving has a lot of life left in it, but it was purchased for DH and it is a bit big for me. I want a CRV sized SUV with a heated steering Wheel. I haven't told DH yet, but think I will buy a new car in December.
Looks like we may go to Mexico in December. DH said he would go without me if I say no. BTW, my passport is good until July 9, 2020. If we plan to leave by December 27/28 and return before Jan 7th, I should be fine to renew it after our trip right? Hopefully one of our members that travels a lot knows, I have heard if it expires within 6 months , you can have problems? This is me with cell phones. I broke the screen on mine right after I bought it 2 years ago. I've probably dropped it another 2 dozen times since. The last few months it has randomly quit recognizing the sim card and dropping service. I need a new phone, but the camera on this one is good and I don't want to pay $600 for a comparable camera. Hopefully black Friday will make pulling the trigger easier. We also need a new car but DH and I hate car shopping. He wants to wait for year end clear out deals. I feel like car deals are an illusion and we will pay more than we intend no matter how long we wait. I'm thinking Fire TV Stick and an air fryer should be easy to pick up black Friday. After looking at ads - I'm going to make sure I get my phones on Black Friday. The new Samsung that's about as many months old as my Samsung was when I bought is over $300 less that what I paid for mine on a random day in June when mine pretty much died on me. But it had been going out for a while and should have just bought it Black Friday. Hell, I still owe more than 50% of what the new freaking model is going for FYI - When I bought my car 9 years ago they were significantly cheaper around Feb. But my car was totaled so I had to buy right before Christmas. The inventory was a lot less then - less choice on color and such.

The music shop where I was had a rent-to-own program. I don't know all the details, but it also included being able to upgrade the size of the instrument as I grew. Which was helpful as I started in 5th grade and played until I was in high school. I think we owned it at the end of middle school?

I'm leasing a new Galaxy S10 for 18 months at $0/month, and we get a $200 mastercard giftcard. I wasn't expecting to come out of phone shopping with hundreds of dollars extra in my pocket.

After 18 months I can buy the phone for $240, turn it in and go back to buying no contract phones, or turn it in and lease a new one. I'll probably only buy it if I damage it.

Nothing big or major but need new PC for serious surfing (big monitor for old eyes) Mine is 10 yrs old? Win 7. Have upgraded iPad so it's time for desktop. Also going to start the smart phone looking. I have a really dumb phone that is jokingly for AAA only. I am not a phone person at all - land or otherwise but it is time. Other than that I really don't need much else, at least for now.
Like @missrigby I could wish for a lottery jackpot. Heck, it doesn't even have to be a mega - a few mill will do.
ETA: a new printer since mine died a really slow death!!

From where? And what happens after the 18 months? And how much are you paying for your phone plan? $35/month. DH is already with Sprint and they have a military family special half off extra lines. I've been with Boost at $30/month, but he gets better service and had been harassing me to switch.

A generator and the hook up just moved to the top of my wish list. For some reason i feel like we are going to have aprolonged power outage this year. Logically i know i'm probably wrong but the peace of mind is worth it.

I found it at an estate sale for $1. I had zero idea what it was called. A California Car Duster. And does it ever work. The rain spots on the car were gone in 5 minutes. The neighbor washed/dried his car for one hour! He came over to see what kind of job it did. It passed his OCD inspection.
