Regarding your comparison to ACA, as a software developer who in the past has worked on gov't contracts designing and implementing high volume web portals, I'll chime in and say that the work environment is terrible, gov't bureaucrats in general have zero ability to oversee technical projects, idiocy and incompetence abounds in droves, and I will never work in that industry again if I can help it.

... gov't bureaucrats in general have zero ability to oversee technical projects, idiocy and incompetence abounds in droves, ... And Disney? It is the "unlike Corporate America" side of the issue that I think is highlighted here.

My takeaway is you take a phased in launch approach, it seems whenever an entity allows everyone to login day one you get a ton of problems.

Disney stock was up 7% today, up $10.14 per share with closing price of $148.72 a share, so American and world stock buyers were very happy with the start of the streaming service. Disney also announced 10 million households signed up for the service. Build it and they will come. American capitalism at it's best!

Disney's IT is suspect at best. I frequently have issues trying to book rooms, fast passes or dining reservations. I'm not at all surprised that their streaming service has problems.

Disney, along with Tandy and Brunswick were the first three stocks I bought.......in 1977.
