Evidently, the conservatives don't know what the word "coup" means.

You know, we laugh about this faux conspiracy nonsense, but there is a hard core percentage of American voters who will consider Trump not winning re-election in 2020 (if that should happen) as a triumph of the Deep State over patriotic Americans. One of the best things about our country is our history of non-violent transitions of power. Other countries might periodically fall into chaos and revolt to remove unpopular or tyrannical leaders, but we just vote out the bad ones and replace them. Granted, only a small percentage of the Deep State paranoids would pick up arms and march to DC and their coup attempts against whoever wins the office next is destined to be short lived, but a non-peaceful transition to power? Some people getting hurt or killed? It will sully our history as a democracy.

Well I guess this smear is better then the "the whistle blower's lawyer is a pedophile because have you seen his youtube channel?". Which is a stupid argument even if the lawyer is actually a pedophile. What does the lawyer have to do with the original complaint? Also have you not considered that maybe only a lawyer who already wanted Trump gone would be willing to take the case?
Of course not. It's way more of an adrenaline rush to have a vast conspiracy.

I agree. Most attorneys would not want to wade into this shitfest.
It's why Giuliani is having such a hard time finding a lawyer to represent him.

The deliberations of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 were held in strict secrecy. Consequently, anxious citizens gathered outside Independence Hall when the proceedings ended in order to learn what had been produced behind closed doors. The answer was provided immediately. A Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, “A republic, if you can keep it.” (Benjamin Franklin) "
And when "a small percentage of the Deep State paranoids would pick up arms and march to DC" that would be the beginning of the end of America as envisioned by its founding fathers

Here is the definition of coup. A coup d'état (/ˌkuː deɪˈtɑː/ ( listen); French: [ku deta]), also known by its German name putsch (/pʊtʃ/), or simply as a coup, is the overthrow of an existing government by non-democratic means; typically, it is an illegal, unconstitutional seizure of power by a dictator, the military, or a political faction.-wiki Please, oh enlightened one, kindly show how this impeachment inquiry is illegal or unconstitutional. I'll wait.

I'll wait. I hate to point it out but the reason for the impeachment inquiry, which is being conducted in accordance with the Constitution of the U.S., is that dt is suspected of behaving in an "illegal or <correction by poster> and unconstitutional" manner to his own benefit. And he is very much behaving like a dictator. So the only reason the man on the golden throne is not being accused of a coup, is that his fat ass already has seized power and he is only working to increase it
