The moderates are the one's that don't post here. radicals have a hard time recognizing moderates. I consider bills a moderate, for example. there are others, but I doubt we will agree on it.
I did a survey a couple of years ago, asking people to identify posters, major political figures, and presidents by the identifiers "moderate", "conservative" and "liberal". that survey had some very interesting results. the folks that self identified as conservative identified other conservatives as MODERATES. so, for example, you would probably identify VB as a moderate, even though he probably self-identifies as conservative, or would "survey" that way, if offered a list of positions for comment. the liberals, likewise, identify other liberals as moderates. ONLY the moderates identified liberals and conservatives correctly.
what this demonstrates is that the further you are from a person idealogically, the less likely you are to identify them correctly.
think about that for a minute.
That makes sense. Also we apparently drove off the last good left of center poster. I think the more left types often want to legislate things for the common good that someone like me who is not that left, would rather not legislate or make into law. I shoot towards the center, but probably lean left. And also many of us cross boundaries on various issues. I think many on this board are for fiscal responsibility, we just differ on what parts of the budget we'd increase and what parts we'd decrease.

Suggestion only...Possible do away with the Wooooo Hooooo,,,Just saying/suggesting... Hmmmm, A congress person calls the President a Mother f***er is OK, but Wooooo Hooooo is not? There is a constant complaint about Trump not acting "Presidential" apparently that does not apply to U.S. Congress persons, acting as ,, say Congressional, of the largely accepted political party represented here!
I am a bit confused here...Your equating some elected national person with a garbage mouth spouting whatever out there publicly to what posters HERE say in our little world that gets the moderators HERE upset and lead to your getting a time out..HERE? First off...the fact is, moderators, owners HERE are reluctant to take such actions, against posters..chastise privatly, allow communication between staff and posters to argue cases …. Smart move IMHO is to MODERATE behaver differently...watch ones p's and q's ...whole moderator exercise is to keep posters with different views from each others throats..keep forum as civil as possible... We have all seen what the forum can get like when posters run amoke..been there done that... To be given numerouse time outs and threatened with worse {being banned from the forum}...and to continue in that matter that gets those punishments and possible worse threats...IMHO is just dumb and stupid and gets no sympathy from me...Just saying..

why would anyone want you gloating on here if Trump wins? It would not be gloating. It would simply be a slight reminder that everyone here outside of three posters got it wrong from the very beginning of January 2017. that sounds like gloating to me. you can call it "rubbing it in" if that expression means more to you.

Remember 1964 and Goldwater? Pundits and democrats said they were dead then. Tell me who won in 1968? I think back to '73-'76, post Nixon. I thought the GOP was dead for 20 years. Then suddenly it was Morning in America. It usually doesn't take long for a party to rebound. The ideology behind them is still there. and I would like the GOP to get back there.
right now, they publicly carry the water for a noted liar, and anytime anyone points that out, they engage in sophistry, such as: everyone lies. yes, everyone lies. but that doesn't excuse the quality and quantity of the lying by Trump. at all.
we should expect our leaders to be honest, and to be held to account when they fail that test. until the GOP is willing to do that with Trump, their titular leader, I have absolutely no reason to commit to a reasonable debate with them. it is a thoroughly unreasonable position that cannot be sustained in a democracy.

No, I said the stupid test said I was a moderate, I am moderate at nothing. if it is the Libertarian test, it is only a seven question test. not very methodical or accurate. I have taken lots of tests on this subject. most are pretty accurate.

I will be doing a lot more than gloating or rubbing it in one year from tonight. If I bother to stay here after January 1st of the new year........

He is the guy behind the curtain with the machete waiting to decapitate Trump. Like Clinton, he evidently does not accept Obama beat him in 2012.

I do remember a lot of sour milk being thrown around after 2016. Maybe you were not part of it.

In RL I am pretty certain Romney a long-time politician is very aware how his last Presidential race ended. I think you are looking at events and not understanding how politics works. Trump tried three times to run for President. Only this last one stuck. Leaving politics simply because you lost a Presidential race is not how most candidates act.
