To be fair, baseball crowds often boo presidents.
However, the sustained chant of 'lock him up' - that is 100% new for Trump.
When you act like a strong arm dictator, it can backfire on you.

I thought it was great. They have this idea in their insulated world that people support his BS. I think its about time that they heard from real people. They pre select his audiences so he does not see dissent. Hope it makes him think. This was not a dem or repub pre selected crowd, just Americans. Thrilled my heart to see that and hear that Wake up trump and group a lot of us hate what you are doing.

My 100% accurate contact at Newswire told me trump has instructed the FBI to interview everyone at Nationals Park who booed him or chanted "Lock him up" last night to see if they colluded with Joe and Hunter Biden in regards to the Ukraine and the 2016 presidential election. Expect lots of indictments, frog-marching, and convictions.

/ Loved the banners that came out too...especially one, "Veterans for Impeachment"! Personally not in favor of booing a President in public...any of them....however, in this case, he brings it on himself...from first day of his inauguration....up to his attending the ball game... Along those lines, his remarks in announcing the success of the death of Isis leader...not cool...his gloating and who knows how the man met his end...doubt very much those involved in the operation would go into those details or in the quick action itself it would have gone down like that and worry that his words and attitude wouldn't incite some young impressionable youth to join ISIS to get revenge...Think how our youth reacted after Pearl Harbor, 9/11, sinking of the Lusitania of WW1......Unnecessary and not how USA does stuff...definitely not how we expect our POTUS to react...the guy at the end of the bar...ok...but he is not that...

Has it struck anybody else as odd that Occupant went to a ball game and didn't take his youngest son?

I think it is funny that he chickened out and didn't throw the first pitch. He didn't want to show how bad he would be at that pitch, as most people are. W's first pitch was notably decent. The rest of them - just be glad if it doesn't go into the dirt.
He could have at least done what they used to do and throw it from the stands to a small crowd of players standing a few feet away.

LOL, I wonder how many of you actually watched the game last night, or saw it on the news instead. You do realize most of the crowd is hardcore democrats and Federal workers from D.C.
Not many ordinary citizens can afford those seats. No one seems to mention he was not considerd to throw out the first pitch last night in place of whoever actually did it....or did he? I did not watch it and can admit it.

On the one hand I think he deserved this, on the other hand, there is the "Sportsman like conduct". This is poor sportsmanship.
I just read yesterday, that racist acts are up in schools across the country. One of the local schools just had a team sanctioned I think b/c players were calling another player from an opposing team racist names. Trump is credited with rising racism and incivility, but we should remember Michelle Obama's words - We Go High When they Go Low!
I don't know how MLB could control actions by fans, they can try to shut it down, and I think they should - but what do they do? I suppose they could stop the game.

Having been a pitcher back in the day I'm wondering what kind of a grip he might have had with those tiny fingers.

Do you think the janitor, the cashier, or the security officer are making big bucks?

Yes, probably the exertion of walking to the mound would have killed him.

He says the Philly fans once booed Santa Claus, so apparently, some baseball fans are assholes.

Well, I don't like looking middle aged, but I yam what I yam, to quote Popeye.
I think Trump carefully avoids public events where the crowd is not highly weighted in favor of Trumpettes and/or people who work for him or want to get on his good side, so he won't get heckled. I don't think he minds the heckling part so much, but it would kill him to have video out there of a group of Americans violently disliking him to his face.
He prefers his rallies where, if someone heckles him, he can lead the crowd in an ugly chant against them, then kick them out of the room.
