Must not be important enough to carry on regular TV! More likely you're too cheap to pay for cable.

Too early to watch. I'll research the ideas of who's left before the primary when it matters the most.

Too many people on stage. I'll watch when the number dwindles down to five. We had it on, but were not paying close attention. I had commented to my husband that it is too distracting when so many people are on stage. I told DH the Democratic Party should decide what their platform is, decide on a few good candidates, and put them forth. Twelve is too hard to keep track of. I will not vote for Trump, so who ever the Dem candidate is, will get my vote. I think Warren is too liberal, but I have always liked her. Sanders is also too liberal for my tastes. I like Kamala Harris, but understand a lot of people don't like her. I like Pete Buttigieg, Andrew Yang, and wonder about Tulsi Gabbard as a candidate. I liked Amy Klobuchar early on, but I don't think she has the Charisma to win.

Philosophical question: are they really too far left or has the country swung so far to the right that anyone who is willing to give a second sandwich to a starving child will be labeled socialist or even communist?

I prefer M*A*S*H to any politics.
That being said, I'm hoping the GOP is smart enough to nominate someone other than Trump. And if Hillary throws her hat in the ring and the Dems are dumb enough to nominate her again, then Trump gets my vote.
I fully expect her to announce her candidacy before the conventions next summer. I cannot in good conscience vote for her and allow her to have access to the Supreme Court.
In watching politics for many years I think in 2008 she was promised the 2016 Dem nomination if she would drop out to allow Obama the nomination. And I'm also thinking she promised the SC nomination to Obama if(when) she got elected to prez. Either Obama or hubby Bill. No thanks.
Politics is just a game, and the citizens are the poor saps paying the price.

it's worse than that, imo.
as Lippman (a liberal) once said, it is the job of the political class to give the masses emotionally potent oversimplification to steer them, because they are too stupid/busy to govern themselves.
that is the prevailing view of democracy in DC. and money has perverted it even more than in Lippman's day.
