Soooo, since DT met with "leader", they are now in control of any talks rather than the US like we used to be? I seem to remember that it was the US that used to tell NK that they needed to do something to prove they were serious rather than kotow to them!

The US Japan Trade deal seems like a bit of a wash - not any better than it was before.
And I it doesn't sound like the deal Trump's Administration made will under cut or cause a threat to the countries that remained in the TPP. I suspect it was a big "meh" from Japan and the other countries.
So, nothing to crow about.
I especially liked this bit:
So we happily buy awesome fuel efficient, well made, safe Japanese vehicles (I own one) but we can't compete there because - there is no climate change, there's plenty of gas, and who cares if some people are maimed or died in accidents.... <-- sarcasm.
Also, maybe the sectors that lost out on Trump's deal will get some big monetary aid from the Government (because we're not a socialist/communist country).
