It sounds like the Whistleblower was trying to handle this more discretely by not filing an official report. He was not trying to get Trump impeached, just trying to get someone to stop him from doing it again. He didn't file the report until he realized he was going to be outted. The formal complaint is the only way for him to protect himself.

Rumors are flying that Rick Perry, who spoke with the Ukrainian President on 3 different occasions a the behest of the resident in the white house, is in the process of announcing his resignation effective next month (or sooner depending on how deep he's involved).

Rudy has no more credibility than Trump. No more, no less. I think the sticking point here is going to be how much credibility Trump, who has been right about everything, has. i'm sure you don't see it that way-- but I have a VERY long memory, so I still remember when they were saying he had no intention of winning- that he was doing it all as a publicity stunt for a new media venture. I still remember when they said there was no way he could get the nomination. I remember when Ted Cruz (my original candidate of choice, I admit) blamed Democrat violence at the Trump rally in Chicago-- on Trump. I remember when they were saying there was going to be a delegate fight. I remember when they said Trump had no path to 270 electoral votes and I remember the day of the election when FiveThirtyEight said Hillary had a 98% chance of winning the election. I remember when they said he might lose Georgia, or even Texas. I remember it all- I've actually cataloged everything I can think of-- from the more obscure hoaxes like The New York Times lying about Rowanne Brewer Lane and standing by the story to the infamous "Fine People Hoax" to the "Obama tapped my wires" (TRUE- Trump was correct) freak out-- you name it, I've got it all.

If the story is even true- and so far, nothing has been right on this latest bullshit hoax-- Rick Perry is pretty swampy. I certainly don't trust him. Like Bolton- I've got to wonder what the hell some people are even doing there? I keep coming up with the answer that Washington is so thoroughly corrupt that you can't even run a skeleton crew without some swamp dwellers.

From FiveThirtyEight: the average of the prognosticators was about 60%. the NYT had him at 98%, which was, indeed, totally stupid.

so, I guess disgruntled registered Democrats and CIA analysts tell the truth. that is what logic dictates from the reply above.

I think that President Trump's behavior is what matters. Do you have a programmable keyboard where you only have to hit one key and that sentence comes out? Seems like a worthwhile investment.

I have mixed feelings about Snowden, but I have no mixed feelings about the whistleblower.
and Snowden is not the "only" hero. DeepThroat was a hero. and so was Mike Gravel, imo.

Wrong. Snowden is how we learned the NSA is spying on all Americans all the time. He’s how we learned Brennan and Clapper committed perjury before Congress. Compare Snowden when you consider that lIterally everything about the Ukraine story is false: 1) The transcript shows Trump wants Ukraine's help with the investigation on the origins of the Russia Hoax. Nothing to do with 2020. Trump and the American people are the crime victims here. Trump wants to get to the bottom of it. 2) Biden was part of the Russia Hoax (the crime). His family was also getting rich from corruption in the Ukraine, which was Ground Zero for the Russia Hoax. The previous Ukraine regime was openly working with Team Obama-Clinton to dig up dirt on Team Trump in 2016 -- which is how they came up with Manafort. Yes, Trump is a candidate in 2020. But he's also President and America's chief law enforcement official. Biden is not exempt from scrutiny just because he might end up running against Trump. If what Biden was doing there was legal and ethical, he should have no worries about it. He should welcome the review. 3) It was never in the cards Biden would be the 2020 nominee anyway. Warren's been the odds-on favorite for months. If Trump were really abusing his power for 2020 reelection purposes, he would be targeting Warren, not Biden. Trump would much rather run against senile Biden than mentally-sharp Warren. 4) Trump did not engage in any cover up. He released the transcript immediately after the so-called "whistleblower" complaint became known. He also allowed this fake "whistleblower" complaint to be released -- even though the complaint is replete with provable errors and is based on rumor and gossip (no first hand info). 5) It's perfectly appropriate for Barr and the DOJ to work with Australia and other countries to get to the bottom of the origins of Russia Hoax . . . or any other crime. We have agreements with all these countries to cooperate in law enforcement investigations. 6) Trump did not go to extra lengths to hide his conversation with the Ukraine leader by having the transcript of the call stored on a special top secret server, unique to this conversation. This is how all the President's conversations with foreign leaders are stored. Obama had the same policy. The President's phone conversations with foreign leaders are always classified as top secret, unless the President chooses to classify them otherwise. This is just standard operating procedure for all Presidents. No cover-up here whatsoever.

Lots of verbiage there that I might read later if I’m bored.
My “wrong” was about OC’s comment that Snowden was the ‘only’ hero. There have been others, especially Ellsberg.

As I see it no one can rival the level of tainted innuendo, downright false allegations, massively incorrect political prognostications, blatantly wrong medical prognosis and bizarre conspiracy theories.
If he owned a rooster it would crow each morning a very robust whack-a-doodle-doo-doo.

Well, it is kind of hard to fall below zero percent in the credibility department

The daily caller quoting the Washington Post which was talking about a MSNBC newscast. Lol. How we get news today is weird. I've thought this a lot when CNN has the banner that another source is saying XYZ.
