Did you miss the "with the intent to demean, humiliate, or harrass" part of the sentence in the article?

so, it is illegal to demean and harass someone?
Trump is going to have a lot more hours in his day if he follows that law.

Several years ago a friend said there are no 'illegals', just 'undocumented'
Besides the spelling, what is the difference?
I carry documentation with me all the time ............ it's called a drivers license

A driver’s license does not prove citizenship. Unless it’s an enhanced DL

You don’t have to have a driver’s license to be a citizen. Better yet, you don't have to be a citizen to get a driver's license. And I should know since I have one...

But you should have to be in this country legally to get one. I wonder how many other countries are willing to give illegals drivers licenses.

I wonder how many other countries are willing to give illegals drivers licenses. That was not were this comment came from. It came from SESF claiming that she always had her ID on her proving that she is a US citizen. She then followed up with saying the ID she had on her was her DL. Now go back to the comments from others and the one from me above...
And since the law requires that a person who is here on a permanent visa (aka green card) have that visa on him/her at all times, I can actually proof that I am here legally at any time, unlike the vast majority of US citizens who don't walk around with a federally issued ID at all times (nor are they required by law to do so). Yet, chances are better than even that for instance andi9899 is asked for her ID than that I, a caucasian -on the wrong side of middle age- woman, am.

Asked for ID, followed around stores by employees thinking I'm stealing, asked by random strangers if I speak English. Constantly asked where I'm from. The list goes on and on.

Exactly what I was talking about! Want to know how often I had this happen to me since I moved here in 1996? Zero times, as in never, not even once. People realize that I was not born here due to my accent, but whenever it comes up in a discussion that I am not a US citizen they are more than just a little amazed.

I'm an American citizen and this happens to me all the time. Then there's the lady that approached my uncle in the grocery store telling him he needed to go back to where he came from. Um, lady. He was born in KC. He was where he came from as he's lived in the same city his whole life. He speaks no Spanish and I don't believe he's ever been to Mexico. But he's brown, so he must be illegal.

I know. It's cool. It's actually a subject I'm pretty passionate about if you guys haven't already noticed. I think if people educated themselves more than we wouldn't have such a divide in this country. Well, that and getting the current racist out of the WH.

My BIL and I were walking around a store . sure enough , it seemed like half the employees were watching us,
When my BIL said loudly "You don't need to watch us, I'm an honest Mexican",,, suddenly all those employees found something else to do!!

If true, you have once again made the argument for me. Racism on display. And the fact that you were with your BIL was probably a big reason why everyone was finding other things to do. This situation should really have opened your eyes but somehow I doubt that it did.

I have never said there were no racist, Racism is alive and well on all sides! The only argument I have is the extreme level that is way too far down,
Like suddenly,, you can not use an OK sign,, because a dozen hard core White Nationalist supposedly use it,,
So 329 million of the rest of us,, should not use to sign that means the every thing is good??
